So let me see if I understand this correctly.

If my tundra key has a "G" on it. I can purchase this keyfob and have it cut to match my current key and programmed to pair with my truck?

That is correct. Or you have the option to get the factory "G" all in one key that Toyota uses on pretty much every other vehicle in their line up.

 

Just had mine keyed and programmed for $45 at private locksmith. Local Toyota dealerships would not do it.dont know why.

Yep like the other member said yes. Most dealers wont do it because its not an oem key. Just call around your local locksmith and see who can do it. It took like 10 minutes for my local locksmith to do mine.

 

Me too. Somebody wake me up when there is an H code flip key.

You will have to have a locksmith (or Home Depot) cut the key in the flip key. And you will have to program the chip to your truck using Toyota Techstream. You can get it with a generic cable on ebay as well. It won't be a legitimate copy of the software, as this software is for Toyota dealers only to program your car.

You may also ask your dealer to program the key and cut it, but they may not, or they may charge you $80.

Can I get a switchblade key fob integrated deal for a 2008
Edit: how has it held up for this long.
Edit: is there a case or something i can get for it? I doubt AJT has anything but anything would be nice. Not a necessity but again, would be nice.

 

I’ve ordered (3) from Amazon and only (2) worked which worked as I still have my (1) valet and (2) AJT FOB. Think (5) is the max. Overall I use my FOB daily
