They will be stainless. We thought about aluminum, but in the end it would likely be a little too weak.

    None, yet....
Asking a question about a previous comment, but if I pull drawings and confirm dimensions of both racks for Tundras/Tacomas as being the same or different, can I get brownie points? lol

Also, the tubular design's gonna be super strong!

The 3 part connection (though only one tightening bolt) adds extra strength by spreading the downward force on the accessory rails. Technically, there are 6 secure points to spread the weight distribution, when I've only ever seen 2 per side on other crossbars.

PRIMO LITEWEIGHT DESIGN FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING THESE

Thought I read they could be also installed to have the bar lower in the bed? Can you verify this, looks like it may be able to be installed "up-side down" sorta speak.

    Great pics btw!!

Yes, they can. You don't see the logo, which I like to broadcast on good gear

Reversed would sit under a tonneau too. I'm thinking of putting my RTT on these as they sit and see what I can pack in. If I like it them my bedrack might be up for sale. I'll have to address that if I make that decision. My goal was to get a basket to sit on top but under the current bedrack. Either way, I like the low profile of these crossbars alot. Just barely over bed rails and can attach my soon to be purchased bike mounts. Very versatile.

    More testing to come.

Yeah I'm thinking of these and that basket they carry would ultimately install and be usable under my current bed rack system.

My thoughts exactly...except that I'm not towing 5 people anymore and am looking for weight reduction. Ive found that im doing more off roading than ever before and less is better in that scenario. If I leave my bedrack then I'm adding 80 lbs plus all the extra crap that comes with me when I have too much room

I'm also hoping (if I stick with current setup) he'll eventually do a more narrow basket where I can add 2, essentially a 2 drawer system
