    If they're close enough to get in from you unlocking it, you'll still be close enough for them to drive away. And once the vehicle is moving it will stay on no matter how far from to key fob they are. This is a safety feature in case someone forgets/loses the fob in the driveway that the vehicle won't shut down in the middle of the highway. It's a one in a million scenario but it's one that manufacturers have to protect against. Toyota already got sued for millions because people are idiots, they're not going to open themselves up to it happening again.

    Why would anybody want to idle a Tundra for warmth? Who buys something called a "Tundra" then wants to make it toasty? Its meant to be cold! Its named "Tundra" ffs! Seat warmers and heated steering wheels be damned!
