I don't mean the UCA pivot at the spindle, I mean the UCA pivots at the coilbucket. Most are poly bushings, but its better to have heims joints as you can adjust the alignment better.

If you have heims you're good to go. Just run those LCA all the way forward and do the alignment with the UCA heims. You'll have to find a shop who knows what they are doing. I have a shop down here that does the adjustment for me, but its $200+ for an alignment because it takes more work to adjust those UCA heims.

I am seriously considering doing my own alignments in my garage. I just need a few tools.

My problem is the heims aren’t adjustable on the truck. So I have to guess how much to adjust them off the truck and then hope the alignment comes out. Can’t do an alignment with the arms unless I get Icon Billets. ☹️

Mine aren't either. You have to pull the bolt and spin the heims then put it back.

What I'm saying is that my shop does that for me so I don't have to guess. But they charge for it

I wouldn’t be overly concerned we all have those feelings when we first try new stuff on our trucks. The rubbing issue is fixable and if not you know what the groups answer is to fix everything “ LT “ I was hoping to at least have my truck out at Bruces place this month but I keep running into set backs none truck related. My new goal is to make it out for the Baja trip. I do have a few things I’m finishing up on the truck it’s just been slow progress. When I’m happy I will ship it to Bruce and I have a few fab things he can wrap up like converting to 3” leafs, rtt rack etc...All in all super happy with the truck, I love driving it and can’t wait to make it out there.

When trucks get as dirty as often as ours do, washing it too often just scratches the paint more. But I do hose it down after ever trip. Only reason I really wash it once a year is to slap on a little wax.

I think they were about $500. But @Vizsla brought mine down from SDHQ so I didn’t have to pay shipping. Still need to paint it though.

Wait, I didn’t realize you were on Camburg MT uppers. I thought you were on the Icon billets? The Camburg induce way too much caster and it can’t be dialed out as far as I know. The only person I know of running 37s on Camburg MT is Joey at SDHQ, but he’s 2wd so he runs a drop spindle for his clearance.

*edit* _maybe_ you can dial out the caster with the heims, but I’m not sure. It may be close to the limit of available threads.

We’ve seen several ET lugs break on the lug and get stuck. It’s a bitch to get the little sleeve off so you can put the wheel back on. That’s why some have gone to extended lugs, but you have to get ones with a different thread so it also means new lug nuts. @osidepunker has all the details.

7 degrees caster is perfect. Thats what I have. Its not considered "too much" caster until 9+ degrees. The Wagon has 12 degrees from the manufacturer.

More caster is better and despite what you say it does not get "mushy". The difference between 3 degrees and 7 degrees is drastic, it isn't nervous on the freeway, its planted and centered and drives the way a performance vehicle should drive (as long as your toe is set properly)

Wait what? How does he run a "Drop" spindle but get enough "Lift" to run 37s?

I’m not talking about too much caster from a performance perspective. I mean too much as in, it can’t clear the mount with that much. The camburg UCA takes the top of the spindle too far backward toward the firewall.

Sorry, a ‘lift’ spindle. Where the hub is dropped relative to the original location.
