8 Tundras! Took the normal route to the peak and then checked out the Hudner Ranch side for the first time. Was kinda too easy but did get a little speed in on the flatter trails. After that we parked the newer guys’ trucks and explored some new RED trails we’ve never run before. Lots of fun.

You’ll be able to run most of the fire roads. Might struggle in a few spots. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to go with another truck in case you get stuck.

What was your top speed on the trip? :burnrubber:

Sounds like the speed was the cause of all the tire/wheel issues for you and Dan.

Do you carry duct tape when you are on the trails? This can fix anything.

I only hit 100 once on West Side Rd. But my tires are 2 years old with dozens of wheeling trips on them. The STT Pros are a great crawling tire, just not so sure about the sidewall strength.

Pretty sure my tire and wheel issues are being caused by crappy wheels. 2nd rim bent later on during the trip but the tire didn’t loose pressure. Ended up changing that one out while Joon’s truck was being looked at. America’s tire said they will be taking care of them since they should not be bending.

Yeah, still had at least 2/3 of the treads left. But had some gashes on the sidewalls which is what probably caused the blistering.

I was just about to buy 6 35” STTs, would you buy a different tire? My Toyo RT sidewalls are beasts, wheels are trashed and not even a scuff in the sidewall, but the tread loses big chunks.
You hit a big rock with the flat in front of me. I would have had a flat also, but those rims must be made of cheese.

:notsure: I really don’t know. The STT Pros are really good climbing rocks and dirt. But they do chunk also. I think most tires would have the same type of sidewall damage driving on the type of terrain that we have up here. Lots of rock fields with jaggedy rocks. If Americas’s Tire prorates my tires, I’m definitely getting the same ones. If I have to buy 3 new ones, might be time to go to 37’s. :) Maybe some BFG KM3’s? Need to do some more research. Let me know what you decide on.

I don't understand how the hell 37’s fit on our trucks. Toyo has a 36" that might be interesting.

Can't go wrong with ko2s. They run well in any terrain, don't chunk like Toyos, and I beat on mine without ever getting a flat. Plus u could run 37s and wouldn't have to worry about clearance as much since they run small. And they're light.

I heard good things on the KM3 (mostly Tacoma guys) but I don't think anyone here run them yet so we need more feedbacks.
