Matt @M C M says it’s not necessary. I’m assuming you have a different perspective due to actuLly experiencing some stretching?

When changing my shocks, the lines are stretched to the max. Could unbolt it while working on it, but for $7 I think it’s worth the trouble. Not sure what happens down there at full droop neither. Just cheap insurance.

Random thought, in any of your gnar trail runnings that I wouldn't dare be brave enough to do in my truck, ever see wear on your U-bolt plates? I know U-bolt flip kits are common for the Tacos but have never seen one for the Tundra before.

Our local fab guy Milo is working on a kit for us. I haven’t taken a good look at them but I’m pretty sure they’re going to be beat up. My diff is beat up pretty good so I’m sure they are too.

Crazy little trail with lots of obstacles. Need to go back and explore some more. It’s not the traditional running on a tight trail. It was more like climbing a giant rock.

Started the day with V-Rock. This is Soop’s home turf and I really didn’t think this was even doable until he showed us.

Whenever you can go. I was thinking about taking the family up to Sierra Buttes and maybe Deer Lake. Just not sure we can finish both in one day, maybe an overnighter. But I hear the view from the Sierra Buttes tower is amazing, supposedly one of the best Tahoe views. Might be a nice easy run to break in your truck.

Sierra Buttes would probably be a good test run.
I'd be up for a day trip in August. Labor day weekend might be good for an overnighter.

Just his front skid plate. I saw him dropping off a big rock and all I could do was say "oh shit!". Then BAM, the skid plate completely broke off and was only hanging on by one bolt. Presley said he read my lips. LOL.

Great! At least it wasn't something to make him go home early and he was able to get some good wheeling in. Poor guy, something breaks every time.
