It was very cool to see. But wished it wasn’t so dilapidated, there wasn’t too much of it left standing.

Nope. I was already leaking and the road looked pretty rough. We took the guaranteed road out.

I blew a whole Resi and puked all my shock oil out by the springs then did 4 more days in DV with one good rear shock and one shock with no oil or nitrogen. You would have been fine. Either the seal is leaking or you have a loose fitting on the hose. I also had a rear leak once due to the hose fitting coming a little loose from all the vibration - tightened it up and off we went.

That's a bummer man! Unfortunately, we did have some bad luck with the RXT rears and they kind of all hit at once so we weren't able to catch it before hand for a lot of people. Sounds like @Icon_Adrian and Icon went out of the way to get you taken care of to get that fixed for you because I don't think anybody else got taken care of like you did.

Between our shop and my personal truck, we have hundreds and possibly even thousands of dirt miles on the 3.0's and RXT set up. I know @KevinK is also running the 3.0 set up without any issues. Where your shocks are leaking are definitely out of the normal as that isn't a moving seal. It is hard to see if it is leaking from the hose fitting or the seal around the CDCV failed. Your 3.0's are actually be the first leaking set that I have seen and these have been on the market for a year now if not more. I am sure Icon will get you taken care of.

As far the upper control arms, not all trucks need to cut the 3/16" off. It all depends on lift heights, etc. Cutting the 3/16" off the tie rod is no big deal. You aren't losing any thread engagement and I don't know why people keep bringing that up. The 3/16" is being cut off the inner so that the outer tie rod can be turned down farther to bring the toe in more. When we do the installs here, I say we probably cut 3 out of every 10 that we do. Its honestly not that big of a deal. If the instructions were read, it also does state that they may have to be cut in the tech notes.

As far as being out performed by stock Pro and ADS suspension, what did you have your adjusters set at? Where were your bypass tubes set up? Some stuff just isn't adding up.

Sorry we couldn't of been the ones to install it all to make sure it was 100% but if we can do anything to help, you know how to contact me. We will do as much as possible to make it right.

Thanks Joey. But I don't think you guys installing it would've made any difference. There's really nothing you could have done differently on the install to prevent the resi from leaking. And like other's have said, I think cutting the tie rod might work, but it seems like a fix that's masking the incorrect angles of the Icon arms. I don't think any other arms require cutting the ties other than maybe a bracket lift or something. And I never said it was out performed by a stock Pro and ADS suspension. I basically said they outlasted the Icons. I never even got a chance to play with the settings as the resi was leaking within the first hour or so.

And I'm sure Icon will cover this under warranty but I still have to remove it, and possibly borrow and re-install a temporary and ship it to them and then do it all over again when I get it back. I've already installed the fronts, removed them to swap sides and installed again. Installed the rears, removed them and installed the temps to send back to fix. And then re-installed the rears again when I got them back. It might be no big deal for you guys with a shop and a lift, but for me it's a major pain in the ass. I'm basically doing this install like 4 or 5 times now. Just not what I was expecting after spending almost $7k on this suspension.

Joon, you should be proud of yourself. Your shakedown was less than 100's or even 1000's less than the others and if my calculations are off like i believe they are, it took you just 40 miles. We should also work on your 3rd grade reading level.

There were a couple really narrow spots where I had to roll my window down to check my tire placement, but it wasn't as bad as I was lead to believe it would be.

Yes. It was pretty much about 30 minutes of pluckered ass. @TRD15559 drove down the entire way grabbing the passenger side grab handle while he was driving.

Well we did have to stop for the bikers. There was no way I was going to reverse to find a pullout area, it would have been a standoff.

Damn @joonbug I'm super bummed to see your issue. We've had the 3.0 on since June or July last year. Come to think of it, we're probably due for a rebuild already.

I don't know how much fluid you lost, but it almost looks like a quick turn of a wrench on the fitting might solve it? Not that it should have happened in the first place, but might be a quick fix at home without all the damn headache.

Thanks Kevin. Yeah, haven't taken the resi off yet to take a look and not really sure how the resi is built, but the top cover of the resi where the elbow comes out is loose and the whole top is twisting in place.

It is because you lost oil and/or nitrogen pressure now there is a void. So it will be almost free floating.

Adrian from Icon just called. They’re going to ship out new 3.0’s to swap mine out. Said it might take a couple of weeks. At least I won’t have to install twice now. Although I’ve been a little unlucky with this setup, gotta say the customer service at Icon is top notch.
