Nice looking truck! I really am liking the new Pro grille more and more, but my wife will beat me if I spend $300+ on that little freaking garnish over the sensor...

Using the words “chrome” and “tasteful” together is an oxymoron

Bite the bullet and color match the bumpers and black out the emblems. Or better yet take em off completely and have a much cleaner look imo.

Thank you! Yea, the grill and surround aren't too bad but spending as much or more for the garnish is a little ridiculous. I went with an aftermarket option that used to be offered on here, but I wouldn't recommend it. It works for now but I'm just using it until I buy the OEM garnish.

To each their own. I would take chrome over black wheels any day.

I like the look of my truck. 23B3F9D4-7A81-40BE-876F-1A6BCCB2B02A.jpg

I would have to change out:
Step bars, front bumper cover, side mirror caps, door handles, rear bumper, front grill, and I would just remove all badging.

Now there are products out there that would cap my chrome bumpers, and that would cost 400.00.

Painted front grill is 465.00. This wouldn’t last long since I need to cover my radiator in some really cold days in the winter. This cover would look like a cat got after it for an afternoon.

    Painted mirror caps 260.00

    Painted door handles 300.00

5 wheels rated for my truck 1525.00. Now this creates another issue for me. No aftermarket wheel company makes a factory offset. Closest is a +18. Now my wheels stick out ~1” and throws mud all down the side of my truck. Well played.

    New steps 400.00

For 3350.00 to change the look of a truck that I already really like just doesn’t make sense to me.

To answer your question, I didn’t like the look so much to swap out all the other components and spend all that money on a truck that’s already expensive, and these items add no value.

I’m sure there are websites out there for guy on guy hookups for you. I won’t judge.

I was fortunate enough to get a great deal from one of our members here :) They are the original chrome caps that have been painted over.

Thanks for the detailed response! Yeah, I hear you. The main reason I bought the Pro rims was because I wanted something hub-centric with a stock offset, so OEM fit the bill. I've also wanted to color-match eventually anyway, so this is just getting the ball rolling. With grille, bulge, end caps (ended up paying $5 for those), badges, door handles, and paint, I'll be right around $1200 or so. Then I can probably sell my stock wheels/tires for around $500 to offset some of that.

I guess it all boils down to personal preference and how much someone is willing to spend!

I was able to sell all of my chrome.. wheels/tires, handles and mirror caps, grille and hood bulge, etc. Sure you may not get a fortune for them but it definitely helps to offset the cost.
