Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
No "diesel like" performance for long boi (8 foot bed) Tundras then. Battery pack eats -500 towing cap too.

The more I see about the new model. The more I like. Double cab sr5 would be my choice. Can’t wait to see one in person. Assume this trim will be north of 50k. Interior looks outstanding

I don't know. I was just interpreting what you had quoted. The way it is worded it sounds like DC is an option on Limited, but the Hybrid is only available on the Crewmax. That is nothing official and I haven't went through the videos. Purely just what that info you quoted appears to be conveying.

It doesn't show it but it's mentioned:
2022 Tundra Double Cab SR, SR5, TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport
Detailed Trim Options for the Double Cab Models with 6.5' box. The 8.1' box configuration is listed at the bottom.

Not sure what "This" is exactly?

If it is the thing you already posted from Western Toyota then just like I said in response to that above I am not sure that I trust the list that they posted anyway.

Why offer the longbed in an SR5 but not an SR trim?

My guess would be that the 8 foot bed is only set up with the max tow package and the larger fuel tank. As those aren't optioned for the SR neither would the 8 foot bed be. Toyota has options that are oddly not options where you'd think they would be in the current gen. Why are you surprised to see it happening again?

Look at BSM not being on the Pro, even as an upcharge. Look at the lack of a 6.5 bed on the crewmax when they had 8 footer DCs.

Doesn't have to be logical to us for Toyota to have some reason for it.

I would guess it's something to do with the production line efficiency. We all know Toyota prioritizes efficiency.

Since the battery is stored under the rear seat in the CM and I think the DC rear seat is smaller, I’m guessing no hybrid in the DC

No, if you read the invite Motortrend article, there is a reference in the Limited trim to I-Force hybrid for the Crew Max.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
I think the iForceMax will be crew max only due to how much space the battery needs.

The Canadian order guide I have Dated Sept 20/2021 which shows DB Cab and Crew Max models shows the DB cab models as
    NEW SR
    SR5
    TRD Off Road
    TRD Sport
    NEW limited
    NEW Limited TRD Off Road
Platinum and 1794 are for Crew max only
All listed with 3.5 TT powertrain only.
I do not see the word Hybrid or TRD pro Mentioned anywhere in this document.
I bet there is a separate TRD PRO guide coming shortly

3/1 lift on 20" OZs with KOs, LED fogs, steps and a handle
I'm glad to see this in the SR5. The upgrades that I had to do from the SR level w/ the 8' bed are silly... they should have had all of those already. Wipers, fogs, grab handle, some extra leather, wheels are all good to have standard. And now with heated seats!

Unless like me you dont need or want those things and dont want to pay for them just to get a practical Toyota work truck.
