Is it me or is the new Ford trying to look like a Tundra?

You just can't beat th dependability and quality of a tundra I had a 2002 until now so 14 years and never had any mechanical issues or engine problems just sensors going out. Basically Toyota letting me know how good their trucks are

Honestly, I've been a Ford guy for several years. Still have a 2011 Ranger and a Lightning f150. That being said, when I had to part with my Superduty due to it just being an extracab, I refused to own a Chevy or a Dodge and while I'm usually a Ford guy, their current generation of truck just turned me off. I don't care for the Ecoboost drive line and hunting a crewcab with v8 and 4wd in a used truck didn't seem likely. Then there was Toyota, well I rarely if ever really worked on them, generally few hotrod parts though. Anyway, drove a used 2013 Crewmax and walked away from Ford. The Tundra does what I need it to do well enough. I'd like to see some computer tuning support but other than that, I have no complaints. The thing moves pretty well for the size of her, I can always want more power though.

A friend of mine picked up a new Ram b/c he wanted diesel (3.6 EcoDiesel V-6 is still rated for a 7180 pounds?) I haven't got a chance to see the truck in person only photos.

Before I decided on the Tundra I was actually in the market for a mid size truck. :notsure: Test drove a few taco's, looked at and test drove the new Colorado in the Z71 package :anonymous: it appeared nice and drove decent (300HP V6). Now they're going to drop a diesel in the Colorado/GMC Canyon [Thai-built 2.8-liter turbo-diesel inline-four makes 181 horsepower at 3400 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 2000 rpm. ]. I would never touch a Nissan and Ford/Dodge have nothing in mid size. With all that said... I have absolutely no regrets going with a full size truck and with Toyota.

You are right pmedic048 but, IMO I think the new F-150 looks more like the 2nd gen tundra. Especially the back and tail lights.

This is no big deal but maybe a sign. I bought 2014 running boards with hardware for my 2013, as you probably know Toyota puts in the bolts you need for this upgrade (7 out of 8 bolts on each side). The bolts on my 2013 were 12mm hex head the 2014 were 10mm. kinda of cheap.
