Had a mark V11 LSC that was a rocket. On long curves you could feel the suspension keep you level. That was a great car until the display started displaying some weird shyt. Then one day while listening to the jbl audio system the volume started turning up all on it s own. It maxed out, and stayed there. Damn fords...

Well lets see... I'm 43 this year, I finally bought my first street bike - Just a KTM Duke 390 , but I have already started searching for the next one , Yamaha MT07 or a KTM 790 Duke. Ive been riding dirt bikes since i was 5 , and i bought this so i could go riding with my step dad.
I have been weight lifting and martial arts training since I was 13. Thats starting to catch up with me now. My low back is a mess and I quit caring about benching anything over 350 anymore.
    I have a favorite spatula.
I have discovered that two story houses are no longer for me , and the washer and dryer should always be in the garage.

Purple Belt in BJJ. Ranchers are the baddest houses ever invented. I drive around and look at ranchers and just sigh.

I can remember riding my motorcycle in the mountains above San Bernardino and seeing Santa's Village.

At one time Ontario Motor Speedway held Indy Car, motorcycle road races and drag races at their facility. Too bad it's gone as well.

Since it’s just old guys in here how about I ask you guys. How well do you try to hold onto longtime friends?

I’ve been good friends with this guy for maybe 16 years. Known him since high school. Last year he met this new girl. They were together maybe a total of 4 months at the time this happened. She disrespected my mom so I got pretty mad. My friend originally came to my defense then a week later changed it to “I don’t even know why you’re so upset”. Blocked his number and still haven’t forgiven him. This particular friend has also been known to throw hands at me when he’s “single” and “lonely”.

Now I’ve got another friend jumping in saying I should forgive him since he’s been friends for so long. I think that logic is flawed. How I see it is that it’s even more unforgivable the longer he’s been friends. If we’ve been friends 30 years and he’s still doing that, there’s a problem.

That image reminds me of when I was a kid and the tv went on the fritz, my folks would have me pull out the tv tubes. You could usually see the bad one, and I would run to store and get a new one, But if I couldn t find the bad one, I would run to the store anyway, plug em all into the tube tester, find the bad one, and get a new one.

Pretty sure we are all getting old.

You know you are getting old if you remember having things repaired vs disposing of them. A few examples below:

Taking television sets to the repair shop.
Taking vacuum cleaners to the repair shop.
    Having shoes/boots repaired or recrafted.
Mom sowing patches in torn bluejeans.
Patching bicycle tires, adding inner tubes.

Now my wife makes fun of me for even suggesting trying to get things repaired.

Part of it is that stuff always gets worse. I find a pair of shoes or jeans that I like and wear them until they have holes. Then do you think I can find the same style when I go back to the store? No, I have to settle for something else that isn't as comfortable.

When I find a pair of jeans, shoes, boots, etc... that I really like, I will buy a duplicate or two right away and put it in rotation or save it for when the originals wear out. By all outward appearances, I have been wearing the exact same clothing for over a decade.

It is! I have one too. 2002 LS 430, and 2011 Tundra. I may not have to buy another vehicle for myself for a long time. I'm only 44 though. lol. But I do have a long lost love for things that last, and I love fixing things. Even things that are "disposable" And lucky me found out I have arthritis in my hip thats been bothering me for a while. So yeah, some days I feel much older than I am!

@myktundra, I can’t speak for @Darkness or any one else. I’m 60 now. Life’s full of twists and turns and mud holes.

    TEXAS!
    YES!!!

when i find a pair of jeans i like (or any other piece of clothing) (NOT SKINNY, or any other trendy fashion), i'll buy THREE of them minimum. TWO will hang in closet until 1st wears out.

although, i do like your "rotation" method. may have to implement...

why is it so hard to find a pair of jeans that are relaxed fit and EASILY fit over a pair of boots!?

bring back a REAL boot cut!

my wife informed me that cargo shorts are no longer hip; that's too bad for anyone that cares! love my cargos!

get off my lawn! i just fertilized....
