For me it’s more about respect than volume. I don’t care if you’ve got a straight piped Chevelle SS or a 1992 Civic. I don’t want to hear it at 3 am.

I’ve got a neighbor down the street with a hellcat, he’s respectful though. Middle of the day, let’s ya hear it. 4 am, rolls by off throttle.

I think it's been said here before.
One advantage of getting old is you don't give a damn what others think.
    Job interview:
Interviewer "What would be a negative trait about you?"
    Old Guy "I'm honest".
    Interviewer "I don't think that's a negative."
Old Guy "I don't give a damn what you think.".

I cant remember how many times we used trees, chains and a come-along to swap out engines. I also love the BFH in the foreground that always was a major contributing tool in the good fight. :)

    I loved it out there.
Some of my best times of working on that house was the end of the day.
Drinking a beer (or 3) in the carport listening to the cows and horses across the street and behind the property.
Or during high school football season we could hear the game and the bands, we were less than a mile from the stadium.
Right on down Crooked Creek Rd just off Hwy 80.

The family sold that house 3 months ago after finding out what it was worth after we did all the work on it.
Didn't reimburse us one ef'ing dime.
Funny how 'family' can change once they see $$ in their eyes.
But that is fine, we are done with them all.

If it wasn't an hour from Dallas, or we where a little closer to retirement, we would have bought it.
We never told her Dad the house was sold.
It was all he had thinking his assisted living was temporary and he would eventually get back to the Edgewood house.

    Carry on peeps.
    Life is good.

Watch “High Score” on Netflix. It’s amazing. And will make us all feel older.

I'll always remember that. The National Anthem, some jets soaring through the sky, then fade to just some TV snow to end the night...Good times.

Funny, I had a couple of buddies that lived on Crooked Creek in school.

Yeah "family" changes easily when an illness or death occurs....
