Small haul for the little tundra. Met up with a gentleman out in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Picked up a set of rock warrior wheels for our 200 series Land Cruiser.

OE carpet mats that came with the truck are pretty worn and beaten up, so the wife ordered us up a set of Weather Tech liners. Not crazy about the fit and how they sit, but definitely light years ahead of the previous set. We have had the original versions of Weather Tech mats in 4 of our previous vehicles and have been happy with them for what they are and the job they do. I dig the newer Husky X-Act Contour Liners, total fan of the heavier rubber and precision fit, but they don’t make em for this truck so we will settle with these.

Got em shipped direct from Weather Tech via there am a zon store.

Notice a little shake on the the drive to Lowes this morning. Couple of clicks and pops too many for my taste. Got it home and checked front end and found some play on the outer tie rods, and on the driver side lower ball joint. Don’t know if that where the noises are comes from, but glad I checked. Stopped by the Toyota parts counter, they didn’t have any lower ball joints on hand, service guy said they just get em from Napa:rofl:. Ordered up some parts, and standing by for delivery.

Dusted off the old Camry, got the oil changed and ready to assume daily driver duties until the truck is ready.

Not much going on with the truck, parts not in yet, winter storm warning, all of the above.

Wife called me up this morning around 0800 while I was at work. She called me up to come and fuel up her truck, because she was at the gas station and couldn’t get the fuel door open.

The fuel door on the Land Cruiser is one of those cable release types, and it wasn’t going. Drove there, got it open and topped off and sent her on her way.

Turns out this $6 spring is the reason. 1 hour of my life I’ll never get back. Stopped by the Toyota parts counter, and turned out they had one on hand. Will get it squared away later on tonight.

Small win for the day, got the windshield replaced and squared away by COB today.

Also some parts showed up, so I got that going for me. The way things are going, it’s looking like I’m gonna end up doing a refresh on a bunch of the front end suspension. February kinda sucks here, so likely gonna be doing all the work at the shop on post. Heated and with a lift, count me in:rofl:

No work on the Tundra, since the Land Cruiser is keeping me busy with unscheduled maintenance and repairs.

Slow going on the Tundra, since the 100 series is giving us some work to do. Parts started rolling in, scooped up a used CV and Hub Flange from a cruiser guy up in KC, along with some 555 upper and lower ball joints.

New to me brand-used upper control arms, complete with Siberian bushings already pressed in. Ordered up some OE upper ball joints and hardware to go along with the front suspension refresh.

The little Tundra put in some work today. Nothing crazy, did a turn and burn from Fort Leonard Wood, MO to Louisville, KY. Had a bumper built for our 200 series LC, and went to scoop it up. I’ve always felt confident in our old Double Cab, since we took care of it, and knew everything about the maintenance history. This Access Cab we acquired later in its mileage life, so the farthest I’ve ever driven it was about 70 miles. Today we did a solid 800 miles with no issues, I’m pretty stoked. Loving this little do everything truck!

Saw a post earlier in the month that Billy at Brute Force Fab had some bumpers in the shelf ready to ship. Definitely not a need, but went ahead a scored one. Full hoop option is what I settled on, I kinda dig it! Bumper made it from NorCal all the way to the Middle of Nowhere Missouri. Picked it up today from the freight house. Don’t know how long it’s gonna sit, but looking forward to getting on the truck whenever that is. Hopefully I can find a powder coat color match to mate up nice with the Phantom Gray Pearl, if not good old matte black is always on standby. Hope everyone is doing well, have an awesome weekend.

Been out of the loop for a while. Recently underwent a meniscus refresh, and off my feet for an extended time. Surgery went down on 20FEB, so been limited to no weight bearing on my bad knee for roughly 4 weeks. Won't have another evaluation with my surgeon for another 2 weeks, so a total of 8 weeks at a minimum on the crutches. Stacking parts here and there, mostly gonna focus on getting our 100 series on the road, prior to diving into the old 1E3 Daily Tundra.

More parts came in to add to the stack for our 100 series. Bearing kit via Cruiser Outfitters, along with a new power steering pump from Toyota. Not being able to work on the car kinda has me reflecting on how much time I waste, and now motivated to get this one back on the road as soon as I’m cleared to get back on both legs.

In the spirit of spring cleaning, and wanting to clear out the garage a little bit, decided to make a little room by getting these wheels and tires out of the garage. Had my son get em on the truck for me, since I still cant do much. Rock Warrior Wheels from the wife’s 200 series wrapped in 285/70/17 Falken Rubitreks.
