    TEXAS!
installed several months back. here's what i remember...

4 bolts use existing holes. i believe these were allen key pan head bolts.

4 bolts use existing holes, but need to be enlarged w/ a drill bit (check instructions for size). these are for the rivnuts. i believe these were security torx pan head bolts.

I probably can’t do it til Friday, but if you can wait I think I still have my instructions I can send you. There was nothing difficult about the install at all. You have to drill a few holes, but aside from that, it’s pretty straightforward with basic hand tools. Not sure why it’s saying anything about lifting the trans or transfer case.

I believe it’s 7/16. I had to get a single one from Home Depot for this install.

I just installed a Miller this past weekend.

There were two rear mounting points which rivet nuts in two existing holes in the back of the trans crossmember. If you have a 4x4, the transfer case blocks access to the driver side hole making installation of the rivet nut difficult.

You either have to undo 4 bolts securing the trans mount, and jack the transmission up about 2", or locate a "low profile" rivet nut tool.

My tool was much too large to fit, so I lifted the trans by the rear of the pan with a bottle jack and a chunk of 2x6.

Miller has a "one time use" tool on their website for installing the rivet nut without lifting the trans/transfer.

Unfortunately I cannot find my instructions. Could’ve sworn I kept them. However, based off my truck (4wd Crewmax), I didn’t have to lift the trans or transfer case.

Weird. Maybe you had an extra bolt or two?

I have the Getacatsecurity (linked above). anyway, i just bought the main plate and not the "extender" plate for the rear cats....did I go too cheap or are the rear cats not likely to get stolen?

I got the full protection. Even if these dickheads only get one cat, you’re still looking at significant wait times to get parts. So my thought is might as well protect them all.

    Question for you guys!
My tundra has been sitting 8 months waiting for cats :(
They are finally set to be arriving next week. I bought the CCM cat shield shortly after they were stolen. Have any of your noticed any significant rattles or wind buffeting from it? The rear protection being just over hangs makes me feel like they would rattle with wind.
    Let me know!

Had mine for around six months. No problems at all. No rattling, squeaks or any other noise.
