To me my SR5 is a luxury truck. I really don’t give a crap about apple car play or 50 cameras although I do like the front facing camera. I really just need HVAC, radio, and back up cam. To me one of the coolest things is the soft open tail gate. That is a game changer. And it works if my battery is dead

Hey man I paid $13,895 for my truck and I felt like THAT was a lot. When batteries die, life is over. That's why I run a Die Hard.

You’re not comparing it to a 19’ whatever either.

A front facing camera would be nice. I only have one tailgate camera, with soft open and close assist.

I can’t believe these prices have gone up that much in 15 months. My limited MSRP WAS ABOUT 20K lower than your price...

Not really. I can find them that cheap as well. Those trim packages are not fully loaded.

    LOL Really?

I guess I'm stupid so explain to me how the Limited you posted for $61k is better optioned then the Platinum I posted for $48K?

And how is the 1794 model you posted worth $13k more than this one?

I do not know about upper trims but the SR5 upgrade trucks which is basically the equivalent of a Bighorn Ram 1500 when I looked before I bought my Tundra were priced differently from each other. A big horn ram with power seats for example was 46k stickered where my Tundra was 40,575. I didn't pay sticker for my truck but I guess at the same time I could have knocked the price down on the Ram to where I got my tundra at as well. I just liked Tundra better back in May 2018 so that is why I bought it. :)

SR5 all day long for this boy. I want a truck that I can use as a truck without worrying about getting the seats dirty or something breaking. The more tech you have in a truck the more likelihood that something can break. Less is more for me, but to each his own.

So I went and test drove a 2019 Silverado because supposed to drive better, have more tech, better stereo, fuel mileage ect. The had a big sale and could get more for money. Wrong! I tested a mid grade unit without the Bose stereo(if was terrible). Felt like the truck weighed 3000lbs more than my Tundra and had rougher ride(even wife said did not feel as solid riding). Interior felt cheap. I am not a big guy and don't know how a large fella could sit in those narrow seats. Transmission had loud clunk going slow jumping up and down the gears. Also my truck had more feature that I like than what the Chevy did. Went back from test drive and told sales guy no thanks. Got in my Tundra with a smile. Curiosity over.

Same here. I was looking at the Fords before I bought this SR5. The sticker prices were unreal. The no/low interest financing really pushes prices up. People are financing for 8 years now.

I bought a wood frame vinyl siding 1500 SF ranch home for $48k in the mid nineties. It's on the market right now, they're asking over a quarter of a million dollars.

For me it's the principle. I have a lot of cars and could buy a more expensive truck but I don't want to pay those prices. So I went with the cheapest 4x4 they had on the lot.

Well, since you said it, not I....

While pricing in certain areas differ, do you think all trims come equipped the same?

It's called options, and some have additions that are rather spendy.

Here are two 1794's on the same lot, but differ in price by a few pennies.

And two Limited...even one cheaper than the ones you posted.

What’s the “ 3” Toy...” in the description? Dealer installed Toytec lifts and wheel /tire packages? Both of those in the $60Ks look lifted and the second with bigger boots and aftermarket wheels.

You aren't comparing apples to apples. The OP was saying that his buddy paid 64k for a stock GMC. The Tundras that you posted for prices above 60k are not stock. I don't even have 64k in my new 2019 Limited with everything I've added. So to the OP's point... I too thinks it's crazy that a stock GMC gas burner 1/2 ton cost that much. (And I test drove an AT3 before buying my Tundra.)

Oh I have no idea Phil. Half of the time the pics are not of what is actually on the lot. The 3" is usually a Boss TT lift.

The point is, you can't compare a SR5 base to a loaded "other brand". I wouldn't pay that much either for a 1/2 ton either.
