I have 4.6 tundra. I was wondering what could improve acceleration? My 05 Dakota was good on that

Pedal commander. My 4.6 was plenty peppy without it, but better with it. Of course, that's relative, I came from a 3.6 Trooper 6 cylinder that did 0-60 in 30 minutes. But the granny gear was awesome.

The 4.6 has super tall gears. 4.88 will help enormously.

If you’re 2wd then we make long tube headers that bolt in

You can also run a stock air box mod
    Hypertech interceptor
And throttle body coolant bypass mod

    Call for details. 760-877-4234

I think my concern was that wasn't used to bigger truck. The way it sounded compared to Dakota sounded like when you put something in drive or thought and you would be in 2 or 3 low gear
My Dakota was nice for a long time and if the issues didn't pop last year I would have kept it.
Besides having truck payments again I like it alot. What will give it more pep ? Do modes affect it in long run for durability?

Yessir. Dual exhaust, if built with a flow thru type muffler, will gain 3-10hp 10-20tq and loses a lot of low end torque. So much so that your 6th gear is about useless.

A single exhaust has the same gains as dual, but no loss in low end torque, if built correctly thst is.

The list of things I’ve told you about above, they will give it more pep.

And they do so without harming durability.

The "S" shift position started in 2013, but only on 5.7L, is not an accurate statement. I own a 2013 4.6L and it has the "S" shift position with the dash indications to go with it.

You want more pep then turn your nannies off. They really hold up my acceleration in my 4.6. I use tow/haul button on all the time with nannies off. Way more responsive on acceleration. Good luck have fun.

Thanks, but no apology necessary. Misinformation on this forum should be corrected for future readers.

You should do an introduction thread so members get to know you. ;)
