    Not nearly enough room here!
[IMG] Took my skid plate off, painted it with Rust resistant paint and cut an access port with lock and hinge. Took a couple hours not counting dry-time.

I'm the odd man out and maybe that's because I've been doing this kind of stuff for 30+ years, but changing the oil isn't (or shouldn't be) that bad. Get a MotiveX filter wrench and drain adapter and a good drain pan, it's easy peezy. If the filter canister is on that tight...its on TOO tight. There are torque specs on for the drain plug and canister for a reason. 18 ft/lbs on the canister and 9 ft/lbs on the drain plug. A little anti-seize on the skid pan bolts goes a long way too and they only need to be tightened to 21 ft/lbs. I pull the plug and then drop the filter, walk away for 45 minutes and when i come back it's ready for the new filter and oil, hour and a half tops and it's done.

I never even pulled the oil filter drain plug on my Tundra. I just cracked the filter housing open, it drained out for about a minute, and then removed the housing, removed old filter and o-ring, installed new one and reinstalled. Closed the fumoto valve, installed skid, and refilled oil.

    Now it is like this:

Pretty damn easy lads. Installed another Fumoto valve, so I now can change oil on this truck without tools.

Has anyone here used the housing from Jowett Performance? People on TundraTalk seem to like them.
