Yes I am tired of the orange lights if someone can figure out how to install blue LEDs without shipping it to California for a week and having it cost $1,000 please send me a PM

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
I have a 2019 and one of the down sides when I was buying is how old the instrument panel looks compared to others like a Dodge RAM Rebel. Still went with a Tundra because I can live with Tundra’s truck look and feel of the panel but I don’t think I’ll be happy making payments looking at a Dodge Ram

I have a 2012 Base and I also have a visual issue with my instrument cluster. I’m tired of the orange color. Wish there was an aftermarket cluster to replace it with. With White and Blue accents, with some Red color as well.

I think that there's a guy on TundraTalk that specialized in changing out the LEDs in the clusters. You'd have to remove yours and send it to him though. Here's his thread:https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/00-13-led-gauge-color-swap.260129/#post-3057705 It doesn't appear that he's been around for a while. I don't know is maybe he's moved on.

This may outweigh the negatives if this applies to anyone. The 18 Dash does not really let you get away with anything even if you are keeping up with the flow of the traffic and getting passed still.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
Could devote an unused phone to run your favorite odb2 app with your own custom made set of gauges to stare at instead of the dash....

I don't mind the placement of the gauges but hated the orange.

The Optitron is night & day, I love it!

Was it just a plug and play change? Does it matter what year cluster you use? I have a 2011 Sr5 sequoia and want the limited gauges

I swapped mine out too, it’s plug and play but the odometer reading is programmed to the gauges, not the computer. Luckily I found The optitron gauges that 5k more miles and I waited until I hit the same mileage before I swapped them. You can take it to the dealer to reprogram the odometer with what your old orange gauges read but they want you to drop it off and I’m not sure about the cost.

side note, your read out above center speaker will now only show temperature and time. The rest of the options like instant mpg and avg mpg will now display on the gauges.

I sent mine out and had my Miles programmed.

Lost the use for 5 days. Good having other cars.

Dude WHAT? I absolutely miss the look of my 08 Cluster. I could glance down and see everything going on and put my eyes back on the road. My 20 drives me nuts, "oooh fancy screen whats that do" gauges are stacked in a way that you wonder at a glance how the fuel gauge is climbing realizing its the oil pressure. I cannot wait to see how much the color screen with all the info is going to cost to replace.

A little late joining this discussion but I kind of like the dash in the Tundra. It reminds me of the one in my '56 Ford Fairlane.

I don't mind my 2013 at all. Really like the retro feel. The 2.5 gens look plastic and cheap imho.

You guys ever thought about converting to the 2018+ Sequoia dash/gauge cluster? Or if it even possible a direct swap? How hard? Maybe someone can make us the conversation harness to able plug and play conversion. I just really like the look of the updated 2nd gen dash from the Sequoia... since it’s basically the same dash as the 2nd gen Tundra.

Honestly for the effort it would be easier to find a 2013 and just do a total refresh ie: new window moldings, fresh paint and a Sequoia headlamp conversion. I really miss the storage cubbies in the door handles from my 08.

I am in the process of looking for a decent android 8 inch tablet to mount in front of the dash to run Torque Pro. I have a 10 inch tablet but its just too big and looks silly.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how long it typically take for the average mpg and instant mpg and dte to start showing on the opitron guage?
