Hypertech is about to lose the Tundra market with bullshit answers like that... Yeah the most reliable full sized truck just throws frigging codes while hauling heavy... GTFOH, douche.

I was contemplating getting this, but probably not now. Anyone use a URD MAF-CAL for their Tundra? Had one on my Tacoma, and liked it a lot...

But in a recent thread he said stock cai and Hypertech. It was in one of the cai threads recently. So far no light either. Gonna stick with mine and dang that Unichip is 500 bucks almost

How many of you guys have either non stock exhaust or some type of modification to your cai? I guess i should ask, those of you that get the cel, is your truck completely stock other than the tuner?

It seems like most, if not all, that get the cel have a cat back or drop in air filter.

I've got a bamuffler cat back and a k&n 63 series. Today I put the throttle sensor on just to try and see if it makes any difference. I assume it won't, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I might go back to stock as well. I originally wanted to pick up an s/c for mine and that was why I really wanted the unichip. I just can't spend the cash to get one installed. mabey a future mod. I'll put it on the shelf for a while just in case!

So how has the performance been with the stock intake? That's what I'm going to run. I have a drop in AFE Pro Dry S filter and the TRD flow accelerator on the lower air box. Hopefully that with my corsa db system the truck will run good. Right now it's actually pretty impressive for a 5,600lb truck.

Alls well so far, been a few days and nothin. I got my ultra gauge blue yesterday and no alerts or nothin. I have tried to get the CEL back on just so I can see what is causing it.

Does it still seem like it has good power even with the stock air box back on?

    7eah I agree on this
i agree with this, they need to do more R and D before they point fingers. I believe it has to do with the massive amount of air being pushed through that sets the MAF off

The explanation of why it would throw codes with the K&N intakes sounds spot on though, has anyone had the code with the stock intake while in tow mode and hammering down?

I haven't got the code since I put the gas pedal sensor on. Not even in t/h and trying. I haven't really had a load on the motor either. I haven't pulled anything and we don't have any steep grades around town. I will for sure find out this weekend.

Is the tow capacity for the crewmax really only 7700lbs? Seems lower than I remember... I thought it was almost 11k.

10.5k Lbs is max depending on model. I pulled my 6k LBs 25' wellcraft before the Hypertech and with only k and n filter and no problems at all. Same with my 2007 tundra, no problem mon

Has any one ever tried the new edge programer?

Also sounds like if you get the hypertech you either need to run stock intake and/or the pedal sensor.. Is that correct?

I just made the same 100 mile round trip. Last time climbing the grade the cel came on. The only thing I did different was this time I had the gas pedal sensor hooked up, last time I didn't. I pushed the truck trying to get it to throw a code, but it never did.

Not yet. I left the k&n to see if it would come on. Truck actually has ran great. I was pushing the grade pretty hard trying to get the cel to come on and it never did. Is it fixed? My guess is no...
