    The bearings aren't shielded?

While I have not checked the superseded part numbers, the old 60390 has a bushing for the lower shaft to rotate on. Some Sienna owners with the same brushless fan type (different part #) show it still has the bushing. They have gone so far as to replace it with a ball bearing… Time to pop open the newer LC version and see what’s in there.

I Just did this upgrade on my Sequoia and the new motor would not run. Then, when I put the old motor back in it wouldn't run either. On the 2021, I can't see any clear indication of an AC fuse on either of the under hood or under dash fuse blocks.

The Sequoia is wired differently from the Tundra, + and - are reversed. Toyota changed the wire positions on the Sequoia so that motor would not be a direct swap into the Tundra, as it is already the brushless type. The second sentence in the first post makes note of this (just edited and made it the first). You will need to replace a fuse and unfortunately the new motor you have is likely no good. There was some discussion of this last year as another member attempted the swap.

Whoa, I have no recollection of the incompatibility. Thanks for making the edit!

After all the other things that are swap-able, not cool Toyota...

    Thanks Jowett,

Now I just need to locate the fuse. I don’t see an AC fuse on either panel diagrams. Maybe they’re calling it something else.

    Thanks again!
