Having to come in is exactly where they score. Most people come back once, maybe.

I never buy into the stuff they try to sell either.
I'm like you just take care of my stuff myself.

I wax 2-3 times a year. I really like the collinate insulator wax because it lasts longer than most other waxes! When you use the insulator wax water doesn’t bead up it runs off making it a snap to dry off after washing!

If you want to stay with Chemical Guys, top JetSeal with Petes 53. It will last much longer than Butter Wet Wax. It's a killer combo, trust me.

Truck gets a full detail twice a year, spring time and prior to the winter. Exterior wash, clay, polish, and any paint correction necessary. Typically, it's a sealant, maybe Meguiars Ultimate Wax, JetSeal or Powerlock....topped with Pinnacle Souveran Signature Series II (paste), McKees Trademark (paste), Petes 53 (paste), or if I feel like using a liquid, it's either Collinite 845 or ColorLock. In between, it gets boosted by McKees Trademark Extender Spray Wax...stupid slick, crazy gloss.

yes. it lasts longer and the finish doesn't get contaminated as quickly. especially if you don't have a garage. i did a full detail back in october. just washed today to get the mountain crap from the weekend off the truck and the paint still feels as smooth as the day i clay bar'd it. granted, we've had a pretty mild winter but we've got a ton of trees in the neighborhood. i used to clay bar and wax every month. not anymore. i'm a fan.

With white twice a year is enough for me. I use to use Turtle Wax paste. Now it is Maquirers and the Turtle Wax is set aside for the boat. If I had a color like red that tends to fade more and show dirt I would do more often.

Meguiars claybar once or twice a year with the ultimate synthetic wax directly afterwards. Use P21 wax every 3 to 4 months. I found Adams polishes just a few months ago and will be using their stuff moving forward. I'll still use the P21 though.

Love Adam’s. It’s all I use. Helps that they’re local too.

I generally have mine done 3 times a year. I don’t have the patience for it, so I pay a professional.

I plan on doing mine at least 6 times a year. My Titan faded so bad here in the heat and parking outside. It's crazy what it does to the vehicles here.
