Sprayed at the port (farmed out) by a good installer. Any installer can add the Toyota in the bed. It’s ok... don’t believe me. Believe a car salesmen, or some guy on the internet.

    OK
I see I hit a nerve because we disagree. My post count has nothing to do with what I’ve told you. This subject has been discussed many times. This is my experience about it. Many people think it was actually installed at the factory. Which is not true but that’s OK. Maybe you got the first one I’ve ever heard. And the fact that you’re LE has nothing to do with this either. Thank you for doing what you did. I commend you for your service. Sorry if you’re pissed off. Have a nice day sir.

That’s a good point. I think it’s a general term we all tend to use loosely. Something I have always said. “Oh they will install that at the port” that’s hard to picture when we know it was made here.

When the car is shipped to United States it goes to a port to have parts that weren’t available at the factory. Cars made here will still go to the same place or something like it to add the final touches to the vehicle. Floor mats paint protection bed liners etc.

    https://www.autotrader.com/car-shopping/dealer-installed-options-explained-215790

I tried to search for an actual explanation of where the Texas made Toyota goes.

And I have been looking for the last hour for any explanation. There’s not much information that I could find. But I did finally just find a YouTube video explaining that Toyota actually has recently built a specific facility just for spraying a OEM liner. So I will admit defeat and confess that I am wrong! This is new to me. Sorry for being such a stubborn shit. But I will say in the past my statement was true. Again sorry for my misunderstanding.

@rsgt I'd like to make amends with you. I prefer to make friends here. It’s never my intention to come off as belittling or a know it all. I have my moods and can be a bit sarcastic at times. This place is meant for problem solving, discussion about mods and fun conversations with like minded enthusiasts. Hopefully we can move on and help each other in the future as friends. This is another lesson for me to be humble. No matter how sure I am about something, it’s always possible that what I think it’s fact, has now become false. I am 40 years old and I’m still growing up!
    :sorry:

I like it as well the only bad I see in that way is their are alot of holes from where the old caps sit. Usually they just tape over them.

Maybe I mean I know the line-x is strong and it would have to take a direct hit In one of the holes but still idk what way I'm going to go with yet.
