    I had a fiberglass boat that was dull and cloudy and the MG cleaner wax took care of it. It was the only thing that would, like you I tried many things before.

    Bummer.

    I know there are specific pads and I should probably use them, but for some reason I’ve been using old socks (since they are plentiful) for scratch removal on the first step. I go with something finer once I see it’s working but the sock is a little more abrasive I guess.

    Even with all the detailing products that occupy my shelves, Meguiars Cleaner Wax still has a spot. For a while, that was all I used. As far as your choice of tire shine, I'd stick with the water-based ones, like McKees High Gloss Tire Gel or Car Pro Perl....down side is that neither are available locally.
