Gave the ol' battleship a spit shine at the carwash this morning after a hot minute... Also, wrapped the TSS sensor in some flat black vinyl for now until I decide that I am going to run some sort of printed design up there. I hated the glossy finish of the OEM one so something had to change! I also routed the TSS wiring up and around in the TRD Pro grille so that it's no longer visible at all. Small details

I had to get rid of the black piano gloss around the shifter....my eyes couldn't handle the sun glare any longer.

No way. Haven't gotten a good sizing on the cut yet. I sprayed it with the Rustoleum Painters Touch 2X Matte Clear. It does the job and keeps the lettering.

@memario1214 , wipe it down with an alcohol wipe and spray 2 light coats and you will be good to go.

Did you mask off the MESO trim ring? Or did you just spray right over the top of it?

Mine is the oem that I coated with the SEM trim black paint. You can mask it.off or remove it. It is fastened with plastic rivets. When I removed mine, there was enough post left that I was able to re-melt it with a soldering iron.

I'll rephrase. I've already swapped my chrome one out for a black one and re-welded the plastic together. A job which I would prefer to not do again . I was seeing if you ran right over that with the matte clear or if what I am looking at is the result of that (now) black trim piece being masked off?

Gotcha. I removed it and did not spray it so it's just the SEM paint. No idea why I didn't just spray it too lol.

Well now I don't know what to do! I'll probably just spray it still installed...

That’s what I would do, leave it with a (somewhat) uniform finish across the shifter area.

I'm thinkig that it will be just fine. I'm going to spray it over the rest of my interior pieces that I used the SEM on.

And by installed I mean just leave the entire console area assembled and just start spraying!

Picked up a couple of fresh goodies... And of course they had to be finished in Hotshot Red

New rear lift shackles (current ones have to be pulled for some spare tire clearance anyway) + some upgraded tie rod ends. Hoping to clean up my (albeit minor) bump steer issues and dial that alignment in!

Pics suck because I had to screenshot them from a video

What's the situation with your current shackles? Are they Coachbuilders too?

They are. So I actually ran the bolts through them backwards during install which led to a clearance issue with my spare. I haven't been running a spare for a long time now, but load E tires but :notsure:. I knew I was going to be tearing them apart again, and I stumbled across these red ones. These are literally just for tying the Hotshot brand together with unique stuff. I actually have a set of Icon RXTs on order (which aren't supposed to be here until the end of Oct) to compensate for the weight of the additional goodies I am adding back there. I also picked up a +1" shackle second-hand from a member on here so we'll see what combo between the RXT pack options and shackle lengths I ultimately end up landing on once I start strapping on parts.

    Cool.
I didn’t know if CB was making special “big ass spare tire clearance” shackles in red. I was gonna have to look into it when I finally got a full size spare…

Haha nope! Just happened to make some in red! I think I read somewhere that these shackles will still support a 35" underneath with some finessing?

CBI Bumper INSTALLED. No lights in there yet as I am currently embattled with deciding if I want to clearance for some DD C2s, or go with some S2 pros. My gut is telling me that I will end up running S2s as I don't see myself using the backlight on the C2s if I went that route. I also am not super hot on the silver plates that top this bumper from CBI. I'm either going to make my own, or at the least get these ones coated black.

I'll get some better pics too. Just some quick iPhone shots after getting it on!

Line-X that whole bumper and it would look sweet. I think I was blinded by the chrome on the sides of the tail lights lol.

I just realized how over-exposed those shots ended up when posted here in a larger format! I just re-uploaded unedited versions.

Lol. It's just vinyl that makes them look alot better. I just did vinyl on my 3rd brake conversion as well since I couldn't use the cargo lights anyway. What projects are you doing to your tails?

I'll be doing a full paint similar to @TurdFerguson, but then have some other lighting goodies I am trying to shoehorn into there depending on available space. Just gotta find the time and energy

Really happy with the S2 Pro in my bumper, and it was easy to make up some plug and play harnesses that simply tapped them off my factory reverse lights. I do plan on reconfiguring the reverse light circuit to work using factory settings (reverse trigger) OR manual switch. Just have to place the right kind of relay in the right place…

and like you, I’m not a fan of the bare aluminum tread plates. Looking at getting mine type3 hard coat black anodized maybe

Ha...you didn't have enough fun when you were chasing wiring on my Rigid setup with the front/rear switch that I used? :D
