While I sort of agree, some breeds have so much more potential to become dangerous, and there s no getting around that reputation. You are nt going to convince someone who was attacked for no reason that they are not dangerous. YT is full of videos of folks who are mauled by dangerous dogs.

I like dogs but I don't like to pick up dog shit or end up stepping in it trying to find every pile while picking it up. Our cat does it in one place, it's small and I can clean it easily.

I think maybe the lists of "dangerous dogs" may reflect ones used a lot for fighting. Plenty of big dog breeds out there. I had a co worker who had a rodesian ridgeback. It was a beautiful dog, but when I walked into his yard his back bristled up, and he barked. I nearly sh*t my pants. His bark sounded like a sub woofer going off.

An ESA doesn't get the same protection that an actual service dog does and is not protected by the ADA

And quite honestly the whole ESA fad is ridiculous

    From State Farm website:

State Farm does not ask what breed of dog is owned when writing homeowner or renters insurance. Just like humans, dogs are individuals. Every dog has a unique personality. While a dogs’ breed may dictate what the dog looks like, how a dog reacts to people or situations isn’t guaranteed by breed or type. Most bites or serious injuries are a perfect storm of situation and circumstance. Responsible dog ownership and educating children and adults about how to safely interact with a dog will help reduce the chance of a dog bite or injury. Remember, under the right circumstances, any dog can bite.

They should be giving me a discount on my auto insurance :)

    It’s just now cooling down.

roast turkey 1.5 lbs, 3 lbs ground turkey/duck, 14 fresh eggs out of the coup, rosemary, dog vitamins, fresh whole chopped carrots, chopped spinach, olive oil. Sometimes I put in broccoli. He loves carrots. He doesn’t like his peas. Then I cook up some brown rice and mix.

I would eat it. Everyone in the house always says it smells so good.

My S Huskie Halle was the nicest dog to anyone. Most Huskies are. The problem with most Huskies is..........they......like......to......chew....things...........up....that....you....don't......want......chewed. Like wood windowsills and Jeep Cherokee dashes to bits. Don't ask how I know this.

Add....I forgot one other minor detail. Adult female Huskies can be quite seriously ALPHA, especially with other female dogs like a Great Dane. Again don't ask. I think the greatest liability insurance wise with S Huskies is mostly due to property damage when young and "potential" alpha aggressiveness to other dogs that might not go well at all.

Yes but with a population of almost 80million dogs the majority of them are not dangerous.
I come from an experience with my dog. He was a Chessie. Looked like a curly lab. He was the most obedient dog, but if he didn’t like you he would bite you. He was more dangerous than any of the dangerous breeds. Because they usually give warning signs. There was none with him. Every dog has the ability to become dangerous. Most of the time it’s the idiots holding the leash or what’s done behind closed doors that cause dogs to become dangerous

Already know. I grew up with pits. The onus is on the owner. I was attacked by a pair of dogs; a large poodle and a pit. I was never bitten, but I was frozen where I stood, and I didn t dare move. Both dogs were jumping at my face trying to take nips of it for what seemed like 5 minutes. (Part of the legal definition of assault, "refers to a credible threat or attempt to cause battery.", but I m not certain that criteria would apply to a dog/s as far creating just cause to bring legal action against the owner), but he owner was sitting on bleachers bout 50 ft away laughing. I never wanted to really hurt someone like I did that day. So nice or not, large or small, I d just assume stay away from dogs.

Pretty much because of this statement here, he is going with State Farm. Quoted $700 for his home owners (over 1K less than the other one) and his auto ins. will be lower than Erie in price too. Win Win

We had AAA for many years and just switched to State Farm last year. Both companies asked us if we had "dangerous dogs" and listed off several breeds. Our Lab and Yorkie didn't make the list. But yes, I would kill for some of those insurance rates you guys are quoting.
