I need some help, so I ended up trying to replace my booster and master cylinder but the part I got from the store was only the front end of the cylinder whole. So I decided to use the back end of the old cylinder and attach it to the new front end of the master cylinder but I dropped it and the pieces of it fell out and now I don’t know if I’m putting it together correctly since it looks like there’s 3 pieces interconnected within the cylinder and I don’t know if there’s gaskets I’m missing.

Pictures would help and more details on your truck. Year. DC vs AC. Etc. You might have the bastard version master cylinder.

Edit, just saw you have an 06. Definitely post some pictures.

Note there are a few brake MC over the models and years depending on whether ABS, non-ABS, VSC, non-VSC, etc. Many and are sold as an assembly for crazy money.

This is one of those times when we must warn you: A handful of people have come here complaining about compatibility and quality of store-brand parts on these trucks, specifically. All kinds of issues. And I remember one where the store brand wasn't properly adjusted out of the box and caused them to destroy their perfectly-fine brake booster, which then cost them hundreds more. Tread with caution using store-brand parts, and know this: The average life of store-brand parts these days is 2-5 years. That's why many places started putting lifetime warranties on them, else nobody would buy 'em.

Gonna be a challenge for us to help with just that picture. What exactly failed with your old master cylinder? If you piece old and new together, I'm not sure that's ideal.

Not trying to be the grammar police as most of us on here got a C- in high school English class, but did you drop the new master cylinder, or the old booster. It you dropped the new item and pieces fell out that's an easy fix. Take it back to the store for a refund tell them there were pieces in the box when you opened it. Nowadays these guys get so many returns they don't care. They throw it on a pile for corporate to deal with. Then get an exchange or go buy the same item from another store. All the aftermarket stuff comes from a few factories in Cheena and it's all crap. This is especially true for master cylinders on the 2004 - 2006 especially if you have the infamous third chamber. Read the threads Shifty linked. I don't think a single person that's posted on here has been happy with an aftermarket master cylinder.

When you pulled your booster off, was it full of brake fluid? Those 2 piece master cylinders tend to fail and dump brake fluid into the booster. I just had to swap my cylinder and booster, and sure enough, the booster was full is fluid. Bought the whole master cylinder and booster assembly from a dealer as no parts stores had the rear piece of the cylinder. Not cheap.
