This seems hoaky but it's dead on: enter the year and make, spend about $50 for a report you'll receive by email in about 3 days. The report lists every trim and option. What the dealer pays. You can then probably talk them all the way down to that (employee price) because they'll still make $ on the back end (Toyota charges dealers for unsold trucks on the lot past a certain timeframe, but also pays dealers a per unit bonus for every unit sold, and these are end-of-month, end-of-quarter, end-of-year deals that you as a customer won't know about but which motivate a dealership to move vehicles. Basically, they may not May a profit on the vehicle you buy if they sell it to you at "cost" but they won't pay Toyota to keep it on the lot, and selling it to you will up their per-unit profit on every vehicle sold within the period you buy. It worked for me.

High volume dealerships are definitely your best bet working this. That's why Longo seems so friendly, they're working payment from Toyota on the back end, instead of trying to squeeze an extra thousand out of each retail customer.

This will get you far lower than Costco or your credit union, because you'll bebartering for what employees pay.

Just fyi, Costco's program is complete b.s. They extort money from the dealer that the dealer would normally rather give to the customers than to Costco.

Make sure your logging in on their websites getting their “VIP Online” pricing a lot of the times the sales people don’t even know about it and it usually lower then they expect cause it comes from Toyota not them then haggle that price.

not exactly apples to apples but might help. i paid 44k + ttl for a 2018 cm limited with trd 4x4, exhaust, rubber mats and that limited pkg (that prolly comes on all of them). i shopped EVERY dealer within 2hr drive, created an email just for this, and got it down to the last dealer. no phone calls. good luck. also , try to speak to the "fleet mgr"

@Payaso 9394 did you look at Brent Brown Toyota in Orem Utah? They’re the lowest price in Utah. I live in Utah and I have been calling around all the Toyota in Utah and they’re the best one. Good luck ! If you need a saleman that helps me. let me know I can text you his number.

Food for thought: You can knock $6000 off the sticker price to start. Don’t talk cash down or trade until after that.

Build your truck on the Costco auto site. They will set you up with a local dealer and give you a guaranteed "costco price" with no haggling (you can try to further haggle them down ). If you are paying more that what the "Costco price" is, you are wasting your money.

You would get a better deal if you wait until 31 Dec. Like fishing guy said; you can get a better deal if you are willing to travel a little.

Agree with True Car and out of state/area purchases. A few hours drive is worth a few thousand dollars to me. Flights are pretty cheap too.
