Hard to say between interest or cash without knowing your credit.

If you have great credit, take the cash because your good credit will give you a good rate.

Got good credit just I been getting quotes online for about 5% intrest that's crazy but I want to see how low I can get them to have 460 to 520 a month I gotten 39k plus ttl from every dealer so I know they can go lower then that especially with the 19s going out

yea, true. not hating on the deal just giving you my 2cents.

did you hit them up with a counter offer? maybe 44 OTD. what they say?

i agree they are hard to deal with. but Toyotathon should be going on so ask about that.

are you a Costco member? might get a little discount with them

Have you tried any of the car buying programs available through AAA, Costco, USAA? When I was searching for my truck, I recall that particular dealership in Whittier was more expensive and didn’t want to work with me. It was a complete waste of my time, bottom line, I ended up going with Longo as I intended.

I thought Whittier would bargain, I was completely wrong! :frusty:

This is what I had on my limited. Plus I managed to get a bed Matt and tow bar plus another free tank of gas at my next service. When you get them to their lowest price and they are done with the money you can always fandangle little bits and pieces.

Some states have inventory tax at the end of the year, basically any left over inventory a business has they have to pay Uncle Sam, not sure if California is one of them. They mite try to push a 19 on you. At least that is what happened to a co-worker. Try to get the deal done before the end of the year.

email a few dealers, no return phone calls... including out of state.
create bidding war.. let them know you are taking bids.
say ... don't give me any crap or BS.. just give me your best non negotiable price.. I'm ready to pull the trigger tomorrow.
fly & drive might be a good option

let them sweat.. in the mean time email some other dealers.
you might be surprised what they will come back with in a couple days with after you tell them "thanks but , I'll keep looking"

On my 17 I just bought we got them down 4K from asking and got them to come down to the payment I wanted. I was going to get up and walk over 15$ and I told him you get it as close to my number I want or no deal he came back after 6 times of us going back and forth and got it within 1$. Needless to say I was a happy camper with the deal I got. Don’t be afraid to be extremely pushy. After all your the one making the payments.

I would ask to see the dealer invoice and start negotiating from that point. Its always best not to tell them initially you are putting down money or using a trade. Remember if you are not feeling good about the deal walk away. Hope u get the deal u want. Also, are you a member of a credit union? They usually have the best rate.

On new vehicles they don't make very much money (they only get the dealer hold back which is very little; maybe about $500 - $600. They start making their money when they get you to buy things while in finance and the more money they get you to put down. Just somethings to think about.

from my nation wide research over the past few months, Southern California definitely has more expensive than anywhere else. I ended picking mine up in Utah (reside in Huntington Beach,ca) and I drove it back
