My only complaint about my wildpeaks is they are proving to be a bitch to balance. But my Goodrich's always were too. So far I like the wildpeaks more, quieter, wear better. I haven't had a sidewall blowout yet with my falkens lol

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I have only had Michelin Defenders (I know, not the same use case) except for the OEM tires that came on my truck. But I have heard so many good things about the Wildpeaks on this site, I have been thinking of trying them when it's time for new tires.

I've been running Falken FK510 on my GTI for 2 years now. I am not kind to them but they've been great to me. Next set will be Falken for that car.

I'm really a Yokohama man but if you can influence a 35x10.5 on 16, I'll be glad to buy them and can talk a lot of others into buying as well. The first gen crowd needs skinny 35s. Bad.

Had Discount Tire install Falken wildpeak AT3W 285/75/18 about (2) weeks ago. I've driven about 1500 miles on them and love them so far! Less road noise than I expected with an AT tire.

They inflated them to 35 PSI, so what is the proper PSI to run these tires? Don't usually tow/haul stuff. My truck is a pavement princess for the most part with few dirt roads here and there.

Following along as I've got the same size and started at the same pressure... Now that I have added +/- 1200lbs to the truck (300lbs front and 900lbs on the rear) I run 36ish cold and it seems to have been working well (they've been on the truck since January, and I've put ~27k miles on the truck since June)

My apologies. It was towards the end of my day. We are open from 8am-5pm pacific time. We(I) work in the Corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Anyone can call during these hours to verify.

Our OE tire that come equipped on select Ram's & Mercedes Benz G-Class have white lettering. However, these OE tires, The wildpeak AT3wA (emphasis on the additional "A" at the end") don't contain a mileage, road hazard, or 30 day trial period. From a value stand point, I would

Part of the fallout from Covid & the strain it has in the global market. Simpletire is a authorize vendor, so if you have any questions on warranty or how to go about it, let us know. For the most part, Simpletire will take care of any issues you may have.

We have a couple of plants around the world. For the North American market (USA & Canada), tires are made from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Buffalo, NY. China came into view when we needed extra supply for the Wildpeaks, as backorders were taking a toll. I can assure that quality of the chinese made Wildpeaks is on par with our main locations. We have had customer exercise our 30 day trial period on the Chinese made Wildpeaks and exchange them for the Thai or US built ones.

We are here to provide tech support and find any issues on our products in a real world scenario. Everyone has feedback (positive & negative) and we'll take that into account for the next gen of tires.

When did you purchase the tires? How many miles and/or tread depths? Were they road force balanced? Tire size & wheel specs?

What is your OE tire size and OE tire pressure? Typically installers will default to OE tire pressure for legal reasons or sometimes they forgot to adjust the pressure after beading the tire (it happens). We can figure out the correct, load appropriate pressure for the new tire size.

For the LT285/75R18 size tire, your adjusted pressure would be 35PSI front, 38PSI rear. This is to support the same load capacity as the factory tires. This will be your minimum pressure for street usage.

I can confirm for Robert as an employee of Falken. He’s been there for quite a few years in QA. Also that he likes the Scion xB. :bananadance:

To be honest, I just don’t understand why the marketing or sales guys are not on the forum.

Has nothing to do with quality. I am forced in many situations to buy things that are Chinese made and have no choice.
The Chinese Government is no friend of anyone in the world and the world has become far too dependent upon them.
Just take a look at the current supply chain issues across every category.
If my money can go elsewhere it will.

Which is why I specifically brought up the topic to this fine gentleman that has introduced him to us.

If we squawk loud enough that we love their tires but are going elsewhere with our money because they do have production (even if it is just backup production) maybe our new friend can pass that info on to the powers at be and they will realize the noise made on one forum may be pretty prevalent across the board and they may want to look into different backup production locations.

What UCA's do you have? Running SPC here and want that tire size but I don't see it happening with a stock rim. Pretty sure it will rub UCA especially during a turn.

Falken does not have production in China. Factories are Japan, Thailand, and New York.

Go to Cooper tires if you want Chinese made tires.

People have a pretty poor understanding often of who makes what and where it’s made. Some “American” brands are not really so… and other brands such as the Tundra… are very American.

More than likely, if they did use a China factory for output, it was a short term run because Buffalo sucked. China would have been a short term contract out of desperation.

Yes, my viewpoint is that it is their short term resolution to supply issues. They are likely contracting out (lending molds) for some work/sizes to a Chinese factory, just like many companies do (though others is long term). Hopefully, the Buffalo factory will get sorted out someday and get their production up.

In reality, the China factory is probably doing a much better job than the union run Buffalo plant. More so, we shouldn’t be so concerned about the product we buy from them… but the businesses and lands that they are buying here.

You clearly don’t read very well.
Some have already pointed out our friend from Falken acknowledged yes their tires (some not all) are manufactured in China.

I also stated I do not care the reason for them being made in China. I do everything in my power not to buy something made in China.
Yes, I am well aware at times that is completely impossible and goes to further my point the world has become far to dependent upon that country.

As for Cooper I believe (though have not shopped for tires too heavily in over a year and lots have changed with supply lines) that all COOPER branded tires are in fact made in the America.
While some of Cooper’s subsidiary brands are made overseas. Again, I believe and could be wrong so if you could please provide a specific source for a Cooper branded tire made in China would be very appreciated.

My remarks toward Falken being manufactured in China will also go toward Cooper just the same if that is the case.

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s’ are clearly marked made in the USA on my Silverado and every other Cooper tire I have seen.

This is suppose to be a civil welcome thread, all.

But to just be clear, if any member here or in the public gets a China made tire from Falken, we do offer a 30 day trial period on the Wildpeak AT3w, along on other certain products. I have had customers call in afterwards stating they reorder the AT3w after exercising the 30 day trial period on the China made tires and got a set made in USA or another plant not Chinese. All is well afterwards.

I have a set of Super Swamper TSL/SXII tires in 35x10.0R17, and feel they just don't fit the truck right. I wish they were wider and taller. I probably should have purchased 37x12.5R17 IROK's, but I cheapened out. Curious why other members would want a similar size tire??
