I hit the gym 3-5 times a week with cardio the rest of the week. What are some tips to get rid of that little bit of belly fat that seems to linger?

Hanging leg raises, rowing, front squats and GHD sit ups all combined will build a great core.

I have been doing hanging leg raises and decline bench sit ups to help. As well as medicine ball sit ups and regular crunches. Might have to shore up my diet a little better

Meal prepped today for three days worth of meals, i only eat three real meals a day and then have some small snacks in between, if needed, of fruit or yogurt or something.

    Breakfast:
4 boiled eggs, piece of grilled chicken, grilled green and red peppers with some onions.

    lunch and dinner:
currently the same thing but i might add a carb to my lunch. I want to lose weight while still able to put on some muscle so im high protein lowish carbs, high fats.

Piece of salmon, piece of tilapia, piece of chicken (all grilled) with some steamed veggies (carrots, broccoli, and peas)

Since my snacks are usually a "flip: publix yogurt (if you havent had them you need to bc they are the shit) or fruit, that's kind of carbs there so i havent decided on added a carb (steamed white rice) to my lunch.

My diet is always the one thing i don't understand. I know how to lift, but how the hell do you eat and cardio to burn fat while still putting on the amount of muscle i do when i eat like a lard ass. At least meal prepping is a step in the right direction.

Diet, and I tell guys this all the time, to lose weight, you need muscle so slow your roll with the cardio and up your weight/strength training. But above all, it's diet. Without that, you're spinning your wheels.

I did a lean bulk the first time around. Went back to basics will military style intense calisthenics until I had a solid foundation and then I started lifting actual weights. Calisthenics for hours a day served as my cardio for the initial kick.

Where are the carbs? Carbs also help replenish your glycogen storage.

I would start either by gaining or losing. You can't do both at the same time (well, most can't)

meal plan doesn't look like reverse dieting, just when you said you were slowly adding cals to your day to day count. Figured that's what you meant.

After cutting, slowly add cals to maximize muscle gain lost from cutting and beyond also keeps fat storage lower. I know you're well aware cutting to comp weight is hell on your metabolism. Go right back to eating on a surplus, you'd be storing fat faster than a teenager would last in bed with Kate Upton.:pray::pray:

Yep. Post comp I see guys (and gals) just lose it after being on the strict diet so long and they don't stop...too much, too quick = more regret. Slow and steady is the name of the game.

Agreed. Have to love the journey, not the race.
Not to mention they end up losing motivation and a year later, they look like Jabba's big brother.
