That’s just what they recommended. I don’t have any spacers.

Can you take a photo of your current setup? I’m curious to what you have now from RC.

Eibach makes a great adjustable kit. BOSS kit, Bilistein, etc. just depends on what you’re looking for.

    Working on it...
Great thread *saved* while I sort out my plans for a level kit. Researched and almost pulled the trigger on BDS, Pro Comp, or Rough Country but all we're pointing to 3" lift.. but really want just level looking. Don't see much about diff drop here (was being told recommended for any lift), is it a non-issue for 2+ in? Learning some things here, now going to research Bilstein and need to figure a place to have it done (not much of a wrench myself). Thanks!

I have 5100 bilsteins on front back...I have a 17 platinum tundra but looking to get nitto ridge grapplers 295/60r20 with fuel mavericks 20x9 with offset at 0. What can I do to get a couple more inches? Trying to avoid spacers. Heard shackles will help in the rear. Will UCAs help in the front?

    Which lift should I do?

I have two quotes both for $6k.

    1: Use a Procomp 4" lift w/ 35" Nitto Grapplers

2nd: A Rough Country 6" lift w/ 35" tires (not sure the brand). The second quote said 35" looks better and the vehicle handles better w/ a 6" lift.

A buddy of mine said to forget both and just install 305/65/18 tires w/ 6112's in the front , 5160's in the rear and 1" Toytec shackles.

I want to keep a smooth bump free ride (I hate spilling coffee) yet add some 35's or beefier tires. I was thinking of adding front/rear sway bars too.

Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated.

If you had a 3" spacer lift in front. Can u put 5100s on and put em on like middle setting for a total of 4" of lift. And get new ucas? Would that be acceptable or no

No because the shock was not designed to have a spacer on top. At ride height your shock will be extended further than it would without the spacer. You will over extend the shock.

Gotcha thanks. Looking for 4-5" with 4 resis and ucas for 2k or less. I found trd off-road with the 2" toytec I think for 2100$ wondering if more options

For a total suspension lift of 4" to 5", you might have to go with a bracket type lift.

With the wide flares and lowered stance your Tundra looks cool and mean!

Anyway, the best, regardless of cost, is always subjective. You mentioned King, Fox and Icon, which are good, reputable brands that make high quality, adjustable shocks. I don’t have any personal experience with either of those, though. I run the less expensive Bilstein 6112s, which aren’t adjustable. But if money weren’t an issue and I could choose for myself, I’d get the widest diameter King shocks with reservoirs on all corners, some Total Chaos upper control arms and a custom Deaver or Alcan leaf pack. I wouldn’t go any higher than 3” up front and 1” in the back, though. That’s just me. Others with more experience will surely chime in.

    Hello all,
need some info, I did the 5100 front and 1.5 shackle rear. Enjoying it so far but now I am itching for 3 inch more (that's what she said );) anyway what is the best way to get 3 inch more in height. If I do the spacer Will I need to change uca or spindles, will i be compromising ride quality. What would be the best way with minimal compromise.
Brian you seem to be the man so your response is highly appreciated.

Btw the root of the questions is --- if I already installed the 5100 in front and adjusted to the highest level can I add a 3 inch spacer without changing the UCA and/or Spindles. If I would need to change the UCA and /or Spindles would this setup be recommended. This would give me about 5 1/2 inch in lift or its better to get a 6 inch lift kit and redo the whole thing

No. To go over 4” in front you need a drop bracket, which lowers your front diff down to lift. It’s a whole different thing than just a normal coilover upgrade.

I know that I am calling for an opinion but I do not want to lift, JUST LEVEL, as in making the front as an even with the rear. I do pull a travel trailer on occasion and if I get to much sag will probably put Airbags. (TT only weighs 5000 lbs) 2016 Limited 5.7 4X4. Is there really any advantage to Bilstein 5100's vs shims or other add ons. I do not go heavy off road but would prefer to have that ability if needed.
