Quick question.
Is this normal for high beam (white) with one wire to connect to a two wire from the H4 harness?

 

Yes its completely normal. The headlights only have one ground for everything on the headlight. So Low Beams, High beams and LED's share the same ground.

Rookie question. I have never installed any HID's or anything and was hoping someone had a wiring diagram or picture similar to the retrofit diagram w/hid ballast so I can understand exactly how to install without guessing plugs.

Iam sure I'll figure it out but it would help me do it quicker. I have my lights and harness ready to install hoping Sunday.

Go to this link and read the instructions. It is very straightforward. It is much easier to understand once you start. When you see the plugs on the conversion harness for each light. Motocontrol harness and light, its fairly easy to see which plug goes where along with these instructions - each plug is unique for each light. I was a little apprehensive, but it took me 4 hours from start to finish to install headlights and fog lights including disassembling fender liners and grille sections.

Originally searched tundras.com for a simple answer, but got more than my bank account bargained for!! FRAC installed, now going for headlights. All in...Harness ordered.

 

Decided to install my new LED Headlights before the game. After about 2.5 hours, work is complete. Thanks to all on this site for the knowledge and awareness.

With the lights in off position but truck running are the leds Drl lit up or will I need to turn on parking lights for the led drls?

For my Platinum, DRL LEDs are on all of the time that the truck is on and when headlights are on they dim. For other models, some have the yellow DRL on with the LEDs and others have modded so only DRL LED is on. I don't think you have to turn on parking lights for LED DRL to come on in any case.

ihacker builds great harnesses. Difference is mine comes with everything you need including the Motocontrol Relay. Also as a Vendor, any harnesses purchased from me comes with a 3 year warranty.

Driver and passenger connectors for Platinum Tundra after depinning. Hope this helps anyone who hasnt done theres yet. Ive been waiting almost a week to get help on mine with zero response after multiple requests.

I noticed this picture in the installation instructions referenced in the link on post #1...

And realized that I didn't have the purple wire. And then I found the following...I don't remember if it was in the thread from @iHacker or @eledobleu...
This confirmed that I just need to move the pin/wire from the center to the outside...

Pin Terminal reconfiguration for 1794/Platinum (PRO/SR5/LIMITED Skip to next step)


The harness is plug and play for 1794/Platinum models, you only have to switch pins in turn signals this is really simple with a small flat head screw driver remove the white tab locking pins in the turn signals socket, with the screw driver push down the little tabs keeping terminals in place and pulling gently the wire from back all this at the same time, then move your white/black stripped wire from center location (Pin #2) to the outer pin (Pin #1) see pictures below.
