No problem with the sensors unless you forget to hook them up. The only sensors you actually disconnect are the main harness cables on either side of the top of the front clip, the large sensor in the grill, and the shutter control cable for the louvers behind the grill. I forgot to re-hook up the louver cable (got a message on the dash), hooked it up and all is good. Be careful with the main sensor in that if you get it dirty or otherwise you WILL get a parking brake sensor warning light and "take the vehicle to the dealer" message along with the check engine light.

Just make sure all cables are fully seated and you should be good to go.

Body shop is probably telling you that cause you’re “suppose” to calibrate the sensors anytime removing parts with sensors. It’s actually part of the service procedure anytime the bumper is installed for accuracy of the sensors.
    upload_2022-4-26_15-30-0.jpg

You most likely won’t get any warnings message or lights but anytime you removing parts with sensor and reinstall, it could be just slightly a little off as it won’t be exactly where it was when you removed it. So you should always be calibrating sensors after repair.

Well now I am curious, how do you calibrate the sensors??? Truth in Lending my Parking Support Brake System warning message came on after about 15 minutes.....I double checked the entire install, everything was tight and seated....I wiped the front main sensor, turned off the truck, turned it back on, and magically the PSBS check engine light went away.....

The proper way and perfectionist way to calibrate the sensors requires taking measuring tools and checking that all sensors are the right angle within specs, and making adjustment if needed. Then they would perform a calibration using diagnostic tools. Some shops will just skip the measuring part and will just do a calibration with scan tool and as long as no DTC comes back, done job.

If you ever have professional shop work, it will be called something like ADAS (advance driver assistance system) sensor calibration on a repair order, cost of calibrations depending on vehicle. Most newer vehicle requires this service with all the driver assistance in them.

No issues at all. Sensor sits in the same spot on both grills

Does the standard TRD grille come with a black emblem, or chrome emblem? Do you have to buy the emblem separate, or does it come with the grille. I want to order the standard TRD grille with the chrome emblem for my limited and then color match the mustache. Need to know what to order.

If you are asking if the main Toyota Emblem centered on the grille comes with the *new* grille....it doesn't. There is just an empty space where you snap-in/apply the emblem.

Bless, but since this is basically the trd pro grill with the camera, is there one without the camera mount?

Just ordered and hopefully will ship in May 9-11. Stupid excited :dancingbacon:

Probably not as the pro only comes one way, if you dont have the OR package, then you could maybe cut it off with a dremel or similar i would assume

i don't even have a truck yet and i ordered one as well,

reading Romans 3rd gen OEM parts thread, looks like there is a different bracket for the cameras,
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/ult...-for-3rd-gens-2022.102951/page-4#post-2714513

if/when i get the grill i'm going to take a look at making a bracket as i have a 3d printer that has been sitting idle for some time and i like to tinker in fusion360

    I’m happy to help.

But what are you all planning on doing with the three TRD lamps on top and light bar below the nameplate?

One thing that got me slightly concerned was being on the hook for another $500 for possibly average lighting (haven’t seen the output in person).

The question I have is about the wiring. I highly doubt these are pre-wired to accommodate the led bar. Any diagrams yet that would indicate part number for wires and switch?

If I had to guess, rejects that someone swiped from the factory rather than disposed of or Chinese knockoff attempts. They state in the description some come complete while others do not.

i'm sure the clearance lights will be available eventually, one would think they wouldn't be tooo overly expensive, as far as the center light bar, that may be pricy, but you know, i actually like the look of the grill without the center light,
My reasoning for going with the pro grill is that i absolutely hate the chrome toyota emblem, to me it looks like a goofy guy in a cowboy hat
    upload_2022-4-30_23-49-20.jpg
Nothing against cowboy hats, i just don't like the emblem and would rather see toyota spelled out in big letters

the heritage grill reminds me of this for some reason when i see it
