that 6.2 sounded great though man lol.

it was my last attempt to not give into the small turbo stuff but i think I’m going to have to

the tailgate worked awesome though man, very simple and smooth operation , no reason to pass

That kicker audio tailgate with lights is awesome.

The AT4X is also more than just seats, the suspension, super cruise, front and rear lockers (not electronic diff), standard options from upgraded at4 like the hud, digital mirror, and the overall more refined interior.

this one had that tailgate and also hud and camera mirror

I don’t care about the other stuff for 10k, for me personally there is no value there, I would never use a front locker

down on power compared to the power boost , 6.2, hemi 5.7 and tundra TT

at least what my butt meter told me, the others are way more torquey

the powerboost I tested was by far the fastest but it wasn’t very smooth and clunky between modes

    lol, thanks but no

that’s not going to tow the boat 600 miles in a day when I go up to MN

plus way too much money for what you get for me

that’s stupid fast though, faster than the 97 TT Supra we had

I really wish they would have cleaned up that a pillar area on the tundra it looked super cheap and the seal was all phucked up

the air suspension was hitting the bump stops on the test drive, there is a fix for that now at least

and a lot of wind noise , that has me super concerned, that would drive me nuts

When I was looking at Tundras most came with the ball mount option. Not sure why anyone would pay Toyotas ridiculous price for that option. I have no need for another ball mount and told the dealers that.

I think they're all included in the price in Canada. The ball mount my Tundra came with is rated for 10k lbs, which is handy since my towing capacity is 9200 lbs. Better than borrowing one from my father in law since his are only rated for 5k lbs for some reason. But I would probably throw the ball mount in if and when I sell the truck since it came with it (assuming I sell private party and not to a dealership).

    Good call on the Rams.

Semi-related, but I had to return my 2020 Ram Etorque Bighorn work truck last week due to a contract leasing change, and got another 2020 Ram Bighorn without Etorque.

Am sure it is partly due to having the Etorque for two years, but really can tell a difference in slow speed drivability. Etorque was more responsive / quicker, while also smoother getting up to speed.

Have you driven a Ram? I passed on my 22 Pro as I couldn’t justify the price in the end.

saw a Ram Limited loaded for cheap. Everyone seems to praise them

I owned a Ram in 2013 and have been in my business partners 2021 nightshade Laramie, nice trucks. They have the best ride in the 1/2 ton market, tons of nice features.

I may check one out again for grins, right now Im down to the tundra, but they don't seem to making any headway at all on the issues.

I don't think Ive seen an official fix for anything yet, need some TSBs to start rolling for wind noise, etc.

Gotcha, I see some limited with around 9-10k in discounts which makes it competitive.

I'll add their garbage transmissions to the recall list.

Crazy to see how people have recently paid $75k++ on a new Tahoe/Yukon only to have it sitting in the shop for months waiting on hardware to replace lifters on engines with less than 5k on the clock.

...and then, add to that, having that same customer come back within a few hundred miles for another lifter failure.

Cant recall which MY, but it was either MY17/18 or 19 that the reliability rating from customers was like 1.7/5....yet "would buy again"rated like 4.3/5. Sucker for punishment. That just doesnt equate.

While it seems most people have issues with GM products, I on the other hand have had great success. I've owned my 2021 Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax since Dec 2020 and it's been awesome. Traded my 2020 Tundra for it because of the ridiculous fuel mileage that thing got. I also had put 33k Miles on the truck in a single year as well. The Duramx gets 30mpg on the freeway and I tow a 7k lb pressure washer trailer 3-4 times a week. Even towing the trailer, I get 18mpg. There was a trip I would always make that was 370 miles round trip towing my trailer and the tundra I would have to make sure I was full before leaving. When I got there, it would have burned over half a tank so I would have to fill up again before coming back. The GMC I could fill up once and go there and back on a single tank. I currently have 43k miles on this truck.

You got lucky. Lot of 3.0 owners having no start issues and last I recall seeing, GM wasnt all too sure what was causing it. The no-start was isolated to the 3.0, no gassers having that issue.

The no start issue wasn't wide spread. One recall versus many other on other vehicles or issues. The no start basically one of the only main issues this motor has had.
