But it won't be all out... I may put in a small trigger buzzer and red led high on dash like @helidave suggested for the afr hitting anything over 12afr at 11psi up.
More wiring which I have trouble with. haha

Know you got other stuff going on. @armyoffoo did you install the engine oil/air cooler. Looked at a Greddy setup and a few Rcf ones on fleabay. Thinking of fitting a 15 row cooler on my driver side. I got a cheapo digital oil temp gage to plumb in for now.

I've got all the parts and fittings I need, just haven't done it yet. I'm due for an oil change, but might not get to it this weekend. My plan was to try and put the heat exchanger behind the bumper cover, so it would get air through that opening vs the radiator/intercooler opening. I figured it would be easier to do oil changes if it was lower, and should still get plenty of air.

Whatever this forum told me to do
my comparison was not to disparage amsoil buyers, it was to demonstrate that kirklands performs damn well compared to the “best” oil

and, yes I am easy on oil. But that 0w-20 run had all my dyno runs on it + 5k. And it did awesome. Looked exactly like amsoil after 5k

    In short.
All synth oil is about same at 5k
S/c’d motors do fine with kirklands
    5w-30 protects better that 20w

That’s my last oil speech in this thread
I will continue to cast stones in other threads

had to buy shell gas the other day. Super unleaded nitro plus mega stuff. Made no difference

You all aren't alone on the HPT connectivity issues. I've only had it happen to me one time, with some magical combination of cuss words, temper tantrum and reboot/plugging/unplugging cables.

I believe @TurboKits.com can shed more light on his issues as well, since he first informed me about it. I am probably remembering wrong, but I think I recall hearing that HPT is aware of the issue.

In both of my cases it wasn't HPT it was my fault. I haven't had any big issues with HPT.

Live and learn. We are modifying our Trucks, nothing is guaranteed and nothing works the same as it did before, so we have to expect some issues. Lol, that's why I'm keeping my new monster to bolt on mods only.

I've been considering the same thing since my tundra is my wife's only vehicle while we're in TX. Her car is back home in OR.

Did you say you had the Lexus rcf filter housing and it clears the sway bar. I believe @Jowett said we needed a larger end cap for the 3urfe filter. Looking back at posts on pg 398. If it bolts up I don't mind a horizontal filter if I can install a oil to air cooler without the Baxter adapter. Want to keep parts at a minimum. Found some cheap rcf housing local junkyard. Thanks!

1UR FE GX 460 filter housing, but it needs machine work to the oil passages for proper flow and to accept the oil coolers. The 2UR GSE filter cap allows the V8 filter to be used with the GX housing. I’ll post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks! Trying to get some ideas just to add an oil/air cooler. Saw a gx 460 housing that had external ports, for oil cooler?
    Appreciate it!

I ended up getting the Baxter remote adapter and a Thermostatic filter housing...I just need to figure out the mounting/hose routing, but I will install during my next oil change. With the 1UR housing, I would have still needed a remote adapter and the remote filter housing, so this way required fewer parts overall.

Looks like an easy deal. I was hoping that the rcf housing I have access to would work . It's $95 plus another $45 for the air cooler. Man, supercharging is just as bad as fly fishing with the gear. and yes I just compared the obvious. I have family that remind me of the gassers. What an Era!

If you can obtain all those parts for $140, do so. Lexus USA charges charges well into multiple four figures $$$$ territory for all of it.

It turned out that the other Toyota housing has a different filter element depth, so the adapter didn't fit, and of course none of the other adapters I had fit it either. That, and I would still need to work out fittings/adapters to get oil pressure and temp logging, so I scrapped that idea. The Baxter remote adapter has ports out the bottom or out the side, so it'll clear the sway bar no problem.

What’s the easiest way to get techstream for this now? I have a OV dongle from the magnuson tune I heard works with techstream, just haven’t seen someone get a temp license then change the vin.

There is no easiest way. It's all pirated software or dongles unless you buy the real deal $$$$. I posted a website that talked somewhat about dongles on the ECU recovery thread. Plus there was some talk about TS in there.

You can get a 2-day techstream subscription for $70, and the VF Tuner tactrix cable should work with it. I don't know if the dongle magnuson gives you will work

Not sure which cable VF uses, but I've used a Tactrix open port 2.0 or something on mine before. Now using a mini-VCI.

They actually have a lot of good shit on their website. This dude was asking what upgrades to make more power, and I went to send him the link for their bolt in FPR and realized essentially everything I would tell someone to buy (injectors, pump, FPR, MAF) they offer it all.

Clarify the reason behind needing a new MAF, if you wouldn’t mind. The OE MAF is setup to read X amount of flow and produce a voltage of Y volts. The software interprets Y volts as Z CFM\LbsPerHour (not sure on the units) of air and calculates how much fuel you need to dump in to the motor.

The SC is flowing more air than the MAF can read before reaching its peak voltage, so most kits come with an larger intake diameter. The air flows more slowly through the larger intake so the MAF doesn’t max out as soon, but on the software side of things, you have to rescale the MAF table to let the computer know that X amount of low producing Y amount of volts now equals Z *n lbs of air. Correct?

With the new Turbokits MAF, the rescaling you were originally doing the software is basically rescaled in the hardware? Does that mean the new MAF is less ‘sensitivie’ or provides less resolution? Or because (and I’m making an assumption here) the MAF isn’t quite linear, it provides better resolution because you aren’t in the extreme end of the MAF voltage with higher airflow?

Doesn’t the new MAF accomplish the same thing as increasing the intake size? Or is it just easier (and cheaper compared to the Maggie intake) to install a new MAF instead of increasing the intake size?

I’m genuinely curious and thought I understood, but I’m sure there’s something I’m missing.
