Trans tuning can also affect it. For example I have my truck setup so the torque converter is essentially always locked, which instantly drops the temperatures compared to an unlocked converter. 250 is definitely getting spicy, if mine pushes much past 220 I try and change what I'm doing.

I just did one for a customer. Nice quality kit. It did not interfere with the harrop intercooler.

    no issues here.

You added a cooler to yours i assume? Mine is usually 190-200 unless i do a good pull it might see 205 but goes right back down as soon as the converter locks.

Nice. I still can't believe Toyota got rid of the coolers in 19 and still have not acknowledged that its no bueno for these poor transmissions. I saw about a 25 degree drop on average from putting a cooler in. Wild difference.

Is that OEM or a brand? I added the full OEM kit to my Tree. I'm generally under 190.

I got the cooler, thermostat & misc on eBay from the UAE cheap:

Later I got the last pieces & trans filter/gasket. All in was about 550.

Delivery is 2-3 weeks is the only downside, I may never use them as maybe someone will buy my headers so time was not a thing for me.

There's two. disconnect them both lol. They were a huge PIA to disconnect from the stock manifold for me. I didn't realize they bolted in, and I was trying to undo the clip lol

Even leaving the harness free I got maybe a quarter inch. Still tight by that fuel rail. Fun times...haha

Just got @armyoffoo big throttle body adapters for his Harrop in and they're absolutely gorgeous. Got two so I had a spare if someone else wants one.

Speaking of coolers my truck jizzed transmission fluid all over the dyno. It's all good. Shot out one of the barbed fittings from the thermostat with the hose attached.

I do but I'm not seeing those high temps. Usually sit at ~195 but I've hit 220 max. I do notice it seems to affect IATs when it gets hot since it is in front of the other exhchanger. I know my tranny is hot when my IATs are above their normal +27 to +33 range.

I have the factory trans cooler which is sort of lacking. With the thermostat pinned open I haven’t seen over 185 this summer. It will be interesting to see what it hits towing 4 hours each way next week, haven’t towed since pinning it open yet.
