Well brother, I love me some woman.

Now I am starting to wonder if someone hacked the wi-fi signal to the interior camera.....

It would be a conflicting choice for me had I been in that situation.

I was raised and have stuck to the belief that only cowards hit women. That being said, in combat, there's NO discrimination. The enemy wants to kill you regardless of what color, gender or orientation you are.
Women are MUCH stronger than men are in certain things and visa versa. In hand to hand combat, the male can overpower a woman pretty easily (in the traditional sense barring any Starbucks sipping, skinny jean wearing pussy slapping on some fatigues) but a woman can and should take advantage of certain physiological areas to turn the tide her way in combat situations. Going head to head to a guy bigger and stronger than you is just stupid.

Much respect to this woman, not just for taking the action to protect our country, but to get up after a blow like that. That takes (metaphorical of course) balls LOL

Interesting conversation. But in the battlefield she isn't going to be treated differently by the enemy.

when it comes to hand to hand combat, I think training, skill, and fitness goes farther than the size of the opponents (men vs women for example).

I boxed in college for 2 years and I was able to fight a mix of guys with varied builds. back then, I was 210 pounds and I sparred with guys who were anywhere from 160-260 pounds. There was one guy who was 260 and I was able to drop him to the mat many times. he was super buff, but he was just too big and slow. On the other hand, I sparred with a guy that was 160 pounds and he could absolutely whoop my ass. he was an amateur fighter and could run circles around me until I tired out. he was fast and in incredible shape. There were also some tough women in there too. on occasion, I would spar with them and they were so fricken determined that it became a challenge. they didn't care if you popped them in the face; they would come back even more furious.

I also trained for a year in Krav Maga and quickly learned that size really doesnt matter. It really came down to skill and fitness. There was a women instructor there who was about 160 pounds and she was as tough as nails. She also knew her shit and could put any guy in that class on the ground. I have no doubt that she could have absolutely whooped my ass, but I didn't let that rattle me. instead, I learned all I could from her and I became better skilled for it.

and for all you guys, how many of you would go into a cage with a woman MMA fighter?

Short version.....my cousin who drives a lifted rubicon is dating a guy who wears skinnies, sips Starbucks all day long, is offended at every non PC comment, drives a smart car, and has a higher voice than my cousin (who is a 19 year old young woman).

    We call him "Princess"

Definitely a present shit stain on my cousins dating record.

Oh my family lives in the country.....we've thought about that trust me. Only question that's posed is....woods where his body could possibly be found or swamp where his body would be disposed of via gator?

I'd love to take him frogging. You walk through the swamps followed by someone on a piroque holding a spotlight. Just won't tell him the number one rule concerning the reflected eye color "red means your dead" LOL

Thank God I wrestled 189 and 215, the chances of running into a female wrestler is substantially lower at the heavier weights. I had to wrestle a few girls in peewees, shits weird lol.

Yeah, if you wrestle a 215lb woman, you don't have to worry about getting a boner. Although you do have to worry about never getting a boner again...

Those snakes down south make me a little nervous. I would rather deal with a bear, mountain lion, or rather big coyotes since CO doesn't have wolves.

Snakes are very "sneaky". Probably where the term "snake in the grass" came from.

Ooh I like how you think brother!!

Me and two of my cousins did that. It was the younger ones first time. He was about 16. I was manning the spotlight and told him I saw one near the bank. He got closer (me and his brother knew it was a small gator) he got within a foot and went to lunge, stopped dead in his tracks then started hauling ass back our way screaming "it ain't a frog! It ain't a frog!! LOL

We lost him another time, went back and found him. He had fallen in a hole and two tree knees were propping his head up above the water line. We couldn't stop laughing. Needless to say, he never came with us again!

To be honest, hand to hand combat will hardly ever happen. The thing that does happen is carrying stupid heavy amounts of gear and being able to sprint, climb, shoot and maneuver with it for long periods of time. I'm 215 pounds and usually carry over 100 pounds of gear. That 100 pounds of gear is much harder to carry for women for are usually much lighter than men and also just physically lack the strength. Injuries are a additional factor.

So my first post may have sounded like women should be allowed to be on the front line with the best of the best. I thought the comparison was stupid.

I personally don't feel that way. There is a reason SEALs, spec ops or pretty much all special forces do not have women on board. As @BlueFalconActual has stated, the requirements 98% of the time disqualify women and usually most men couldn't do the job either.

Right now, there is no way in hell I could be combat effective with carrying 80lbs, being required to run, carry others, etc. I have had way to many injuries.

Most of my friends carry a rebreather, and I know what they have to carry, duties performed, and the physical readiness needed to perform those duties. My hat is tipped for them. When they go out on missions, I shake their hands, tell them to call when they get back. Sometimes, that call takes a while and I get a little uneasy.

Would I want my two daughters on the front lines? No. Just that simple. If I had two sons? Yes, and would hope they come home safe. The price of this fine country has been costly, and I think of it often.

We (the Marine Corps) did a massive study on the gender integration last year. They picked 100 of our best females and put them in a year long study to see how they affected combat effectiveness. It was supposed to be a year long study, but it had to be cut short because every single female either was injured or quit during the testing. The study showed that women are fantastic problem solvers and critical thinkers, but the physical aspect destroyed the combat effectiveness statistics. The top 10 percent of females are physically around the bottom 40 percent of the male counterparts in the USMC.
