    293.4 ÷ 19.848 = 14.78 mpg.

I had my foot in it a few trips on that tank.

Recently I installed a sensor fouler on my Downstream heated oxygen sensor to clear my P0420 code. Pretty much narrows down that my cat is in fact bad in my brain.

A sensor fouler isn't a "fix" for me. More like a band-aid. Temporary. I'll actually replace my cat at one point in time since it bolts on.

Here's my post on my build thread.

I'll be getting gas tonight when I get off work to see if there are any differences between P0420 code that's active, and a "good reading sensor."

So far, gut instinct says that fuel mileage has improved slightly based on quick math here.
    20210320_053709.jpg

I think all our FGT have a 26.4 gallon tank. Half of that is 13.2 gallons. I'll add a gallon for being just below the halfway mark.
    So 14.2 gallons used.

232.2 miles ÷ 14.2 =16.35 mpg based on my best guesses.

Fill up tonight will tell the tale.

Hehehe. I used search to try to find the origin of that, but was unsuccessful. Someone had to post that link/image at some point.

    293.5 ÷ 17.268 = 16.9967570072

I'm gonna round up to 17 MPG.

Here is my pre-fouler average Mpg using my nine data points. 15.37777777777778. I think I'll round up to 15.38 Mpg.

    15.67 + 15.00 + 14.17 + 15.75 + 15.94 + 15.59 + 15.59 + 15.91 + 14.78 = 138.4

    138.4 / 9 = 15.37777777777778 average Mpg.

    205.5 ÷ 12.47 = 16.479 MPG.

I gave her hell just before my oil change for about 15 miles, and had about 30 miles of city driving. Stop n go.

    330 ÷ 19.97 = 16.52 MPG.

Last Thursday I really had my foot in her going to work. So I'm pleasantly surprised by this.

I used impulse engines on the one lane back roads, kicked her into warp one on the two lane, and punched her into warp two on the four lane. There for a while I was touching warp three, but I kept seeing Romulan birds of prey. Backed her back down into warp two.

Yesterday, going home, and today going to work I gave her hell the whole way. Skinny was as far as my sack would let me push it.

I just wanted to open her up because I could, and it's not a bad idea to do on occasion.

Yesterday, going home I kept her on impulse till I got to the mainly deserted two lane highways. Once there I blew past warp one, and the others. I found the needle sitting halfway between warp 5, and 6. Pedal to the metal, engine screaming, gas guzzling ole girl was really schmoovin

I didn't give her quite as much hell going to work, but I kept the skinny in it Purdy good for a lot of the way. It felt good to feel her Rev to life.

262.6 ÷ 17.8 = 14.75 MPG. As expected. I will resume normal RPM from here on out. Or till I need the skinny again.
