Here’s most of the stuff I got. It’s all budget stuff. Like you, I did deadoning everywhere which I think was worth it. Lot of work as I did that myself.

It’s a huge improvement from stock. I can not recommend this amp, however. All and all I think I spent about 1600 on parts and install. The box is awesome fits perfect and great price. The subs are good but for like $70 each you get what you get.

I’m sure it’s a great improvement over stock. I originally wanted to stay under $2k for the system but lost my mind and splurged a bit. At least I did it right the first time. A buddy of mine started with what he thought would be perfect and has only been changing things left and right since. I think he’s in about $8k and still messsjng with shit.

Lol @ lost your mind. It happens. I’d be interested to hear a system like yours vs a budget setup like mine.

I might be swapping out the amp to see if I get a little more clarity. It’s a very cheap amp (around $140 iirc) but got really good reviews. It works. Nothing special tho

haha still finishing mine. I did everything myself and ripped the whole truck apart. what took most of the time was running new wires to rear doors and also the sound matting. Waiting on my tweeter mounts from tactotunes before I can hear it for the first time :)

@yoneytan Very nice set-up! I am looking to do a full system myself in the near future, where did you get your install done at?

Hi Everyone, first post on these forums...

I just installed a Alpine Halo 9 in my 2018 Tundra yesterday. Used iDataLink Maestro for integration.

Most everything is working properly except for the remaining miles to go before empty on the cluster display. Has anyone else got this to work?

I have attached a couple of pics.....

Assume you disconnected your battery? Just drive your around for 5-6 miles and it will recalibrate and show the distance to empty.

I didn't install mine but i know you will need a Tundra installation kit which doesn't come in the box.

If you do end up with Halo9 make sure to install an HDMI while you're at it. Really nice thing to have. It allows you to watch videos and depending on your phone and software you could mirror your phone screen.

Does it mirror your phone? If so, does it only do it while in Park?

It doesn't mirror my phone because i'm on phone's IOS 12.1 A friend of mine has the same head unit and is on an old firmware and his mirrors. I believe it mirrors even while driving but i'll have to ask to make sure. When i spoke to tech support at Alpine to figure out why mine isn't mirroring he told me its because the new firmware doesn't support it.

Can someone tell if you had Nav originally, do the turns still show up in your heads up display / center gauge cluster, if using Apple CarPlay navigation on the Alpine?

Update: I figured out that in order to mirror my iPhone screen to the Alpine the setting had to be changed from HDMI to DVD. Been working great ever since.

I believe the "TND" stands for Tundra and just means that the headunit comes with the Tundra mounting kit, I datalink and connections for the Tundra.

So why is it $500 more? Cant be the kit alone. The model without TND is listed on Crutchfield for $899 vs the TND price os $1399.

It comes with the maestro pre programmed and wiring kit and dash kit. So they charge you for all that. I still need to get with you to hear your truck out and compare my system to yours

Can you position the Halo9 lower? Where it's not towering above the dash? I can never decide about the look, I'll be ready to buy it and then second guess.
Wondering how much flexibility there is on position..

So can you still hear the engine growling?? One thing I really miss about the Chevy how quiet it is even in a v8., not the Tundra.
