FS: 2018 Tundra LED Headlights Plug N Play wire Harness for 2014-2017 models

If you are planing to buy headlights, go to your local dealer and ask them to match @Roman's price. You will save $ on the shipping. My lights came in next dsy. I paid $630 total.

 

I paid 287$ a light plus shipping and the harness on here are about $175 shipped then the motocontrol is $35 plus shipping

It’s pretty simple to swap lights I’d guess this would take me about 30-45min tops to do.

 

Any help please, i did everything as the instructor say took my time, unplug the battery, connected everything, then when it was time to check, the light and the high beam did not work, the hazard light was good, signal work fine, the led drl work , except for the lights, please help anyone.

 

Please make sure connections are good and sometimes people forget to plug the motocontrol 3 way Plug to the old headlights connector

He's got it fixed. He just didn't seat the connector under the dash all the way. Post up photos Ely010606!

 

First of all i would like to give a shout out to @rocky_mtn_trd , for being the technical support helped me through out even though he had other project he was doing , he still took the time to help me out thank you and greatly appreciated .Second of all @iHacker this is bad ass, thank you also for the help. If anyone's on the fence on this upgrade, just do it. No comparison to my oem 17 lights. Special thanks @iHacker for the harness and his tech support at 10:30 on a Friday evening.

Same here, I bought the GTR Lightning headlights and fog lights from Headlight Revolution, and on Black Friday I pulled the trigger and just bought the 2018 oem lights and fog lights from Roman, after reading @iHacker thread, and what everyone was saying about it , I have no regrets and this is bad ass I totally like. Just need to sell the GTR now, lol.

 

OK, completed mine a couple of days ago. OMG.. what a difference!
Used iHacker harness (nice piece of work) which went in easily but having an SR5 what I thought was the white wire wasnt so Hi DRL intensity no worky...
Reading the build threads and confirmed by iHacker.. i ended up running a line for power back to the main fuse box under hood (thru same nipple in firewall) and tapped the LED DRL empty fuse slot (how conveniently named and I dont have to pierce any wires or store the "in cab" junction box cover in the glove box ).

Now I am eager to do the anytime fog mod.

Advice for those who are planning this... to de-pin the grey wire.. you dont have to force it or be aggressive... positioning a tiny screw driver (like comes in an HF eyeglasses set) in the notch and gently lifting away from the pin will set it free!!!

And 100% agree with the others who have become addicted by the builds on tundras.com

Believe me when I say I really want to do this, but I admittedly am confused about a few things. BBQ I get, electrical shit goes right over me, lol.

 

Guys Please check my updated post #1 in this thread, now added all my instructions for DRL harness install pdf

 

I have a limited and just tapped the two wires in the cab and my DRL is not working. Before I hooked up the two wire in the cab my the orange DRL was working and now it quit working even with the Posi tap removed from the gray wire. Everything works except the DRL.

 

Did you unplug the flasher harness to posi-tap it? If so, make sure it's fully seated back in its home. Do the turn signals on the same amber bulb work? Is there a chance you severed the gray wire w/ the posi-tap? Post up photos of your tie-ins. Also check fuses and check to make sure you have 12v power where you tied in under the dash with the key switched on. Sounds like you possibly had the battery connected while doing this mod? This may have blown a fuse or two.

 

I made sure the battery was disconnected, the turn signals are working and both wires are getting 12 volts. I am gonna recheck the gray wire tomorrow when their is more light to see if I severed it with the Posi-Tap.

 

Got it to work, I guess I didn’t have the flasher plug seated properly.

Can someone post up pics of the 2018 headlights showing black housing and the chrome housing? Not sure which one to order. Pics aren't available on the site I went to order from when putting in cart. I want to see if there are any differences. Thanks

 

They are pretty much the same except the thin strips on the side just above and below the side marker lights. These are the chrome ones. The main front area is the same on both.

OK, my lawyer has advised me to add the wording "to the best of my knowledge". But, as you can tell, the chrome ones are pretty much all black anyways.
