I took mine off this past weekend, been driving around with it and haven't even noticed it's gone. I don't haul anything so I can't comment on that. I have the toytec boss coilovers set at 3.5" in the front with 700lb springs.

I guess it makes sense that it would help, as the new Jeeps feature an electronic sway bar disconnect system to increase articulation during aggressive off-roading.

Buuuuump, I can’t seem to find a good quick disconnect system. That is what I’d be interested in.

What is everyone’s thoughts of removing the front sway bar with a spindle lift but stock coil over?? I had done it with my Tacoma with a spindle lift and it drove amazing but that’s a much smaller truck. What’s your guy’s thoughts? I have a much wider stance now with the spindles and the 12 offset rims that seems like it would perform better without it.

    Lots of shenanigans.
Sorry to open an old post back up but have a dilemma.

Thinking of removing my front sway bar. Currently running Bilstein TRD PRO suspension with 285/75/18 tires. Tires will ever so slightly rub against the FSB when on a decline at full right or left. This is my daily driver and I don't tow anything. About 50 miles (there and back) highway is my daily commute. I am a weekend off-roader but don't rock crawl. My worry is when I add bumper that all of the weight will cause it to rub more. Thoughts on removing the front sway bar and keeping the rear on with my setup?

Ran my truck without one for about a year and a half. Truck suspension definitely comes alive without. I did not run into any issues without it. Some people like it with and some like it without. I am told aftermarket suspension benefits the most without it.

Should be pretty easy to remove and reinstall if you're not happy without it. I know a lot of guys that've removed it but none that have reinstalled it. Removing it makes the front IFS feel like.....IFS. The rear is usually removed for better ground clearance.

There's no chance in hell that I would drive around without my front and rear anti-roll bars installed & functional.

I would pull the sway bars off for a mild offroad vehicle so you can get the full articulation in the very limited travel these trucks have. I have done the same to all my trucks for the past 22 years including two F250s I towed with. Learn your trucks limits and don't push it past that.
