    Motorcycles are vehicles and are not required to have a front license plate (and never have in California).
    Since 1991 I have owned and driven four vehicles without a front license plate and only got stopped once by a bored CHP officer traveling in the opposite direction on a remote mountain road. Got it signed off and immediately removed it with no further trouble. Both Tundras (2006, 2018), full life without front plates with no issues.
