I used some flatbar to fab a bracket behind the n-fab skid. The bolts go through the license plate - then the n-fab logo - though the flatbar and then I tightened the nuts so that everything stays in place.

It al depends on the officer. I got a couple tickets for it back in my Honda days. Both times car was parked lol. When ever I would get pulled over they never cared for my license plate but all the other shit I was doing.

well to be honest lately in Los Angeles. People don't even stop at red lights or stop signs. Drivers are beyond stupid with new generation not even understanding how a vehicle must be driven. So possible that you don't need a front license plate. You might not even need doors.

Wife’s never been stopped for it in her 21 years of driving in CA. BMW dealership didn’t put it on her car because “they don’t need it and it looks ugly.”

    Damn, that's chicken $h!t!

The law is the law, but who walks around the parking lot and around to the front of a car just to see if there is a plate? Crazy....

I lived in Illinois for three years several years ago and they required a front plate. I kept the plate in the back seat and it was brought up a few times. I told the cop that I lost one of the screws that day and it was flapping around so I was getting another screw that day to fix it and they let it go. Just be sure that you keep the plate in the truck somewhere so you can show them that you have it and it looks like it's been used.

How do all you guys keep people from seeing your plate while driving? I mean, you blur it out on here... but why?

I don’t like front plates either but there is a reason, like catching the bad guys.

As for meter maids doing their job, but yeah front plate is a bumper at a parking lot

In the last 5 years, i've gotten 37 no front plate tickets. 35 of them were while car was parked....other two saved me out of speeding tickets. 31 of those 35 were while parked in San Francisco....i once got 3 in a 24 hour period .... :D

I started keeping track when I moved back to cali....i've probably gotten double this total over my time living here (left for a few years)

I took the mount for the front plate off as soon as my truck got home when new. They do give tickets and I’ve received one on a previous vehicle, but it was just a fix-it ticket. Paid $10 at the time and showed them the plate. Then drove home and took it off.

Yep, I’ve received quite a few fix it tickets instead of a speeding ticket. It’s almost nice to have something that a cool officer can choose from instead of receiving a hefty fine for something else. once I got pulled over for speeding, the cop said he could tell I was working man but needed to give me something, and he gave me a choice. Tow ball on the bumper blocking the numbers on my plate, tinted windows, exhaust, no front plate or speeding. I chose the tow ball on the bumper.

40 years driving. (sh!t, I'm old). I have never run a front license plate on any of my cars or trucks here in So Cal. Never been cited for it. That doesn't mean that its legal though.

I have been ticketed for no plate when I was a kid back in the 80’s. There were cars I owned that did not have a bracket or holes so I didn’t use a plate, got lucky and didn’t get tickets. But now I just put the plate on, it’s there for a reason so I don’t fight it anymore, lol.
