This reminds me that when I was in my late 20s I ended up at a house party where I knew absolutely no one but the chick that brought me there, and everyone that was there was at least five years younger than me. It looked like a drug house, no proper flooring apart from concrete and plywood, some furniture that looked like it came from the curb, to be honest - I wouldn't be surprised if I found out these people were squatting on an abandoned house. I chatted people up, played some drinking games, and at one point ended up in the kitchen grabbing a beer and decided to open it on the edge of their granite countertop. I took a huge chunk of the countertop off, but the bottlecap stayed on. Took that as my sign that it was time to head out.

The backstage/vacant green room favorite is the water bottle. Works in the same manner as @alb1k's vid with the lighter. Just about every current or ex touring musician alive knows the water bottle method.

I'll have to try the Tundra door latch method.

Don't worry push-button start guys, your key in the remote will work too.

Your fingers should feel nice in the morning.
So my chop stick opening; I envision leaving them together and then placing them parallel to the bottle and basically hitting them and the bottle down in one motion, similar to opening it on a counter. Catch my drift?

I’m gonna have to disagree with you on the touring musician part of this. First hand experience has shown me that most musicians, or a group of musicians (especially drinking beer) are far more likely to have a bic lighter on their person(s) than a water bottle. To be completely honest, I’ve never even seen anyone open a bottle of beer with a water bottle, and I’ve spent a lot of time around a lot of musicians drinking a lot of beer/alcohol. :notsure::cheers::headbang:

My #1 choice is usually always a spoon. Followed closely by a BIC lighter (when I'm around smokers cause I don't smoke or carry one). 100% success rate first attempt using either of those two lol

Growing up, my buddies and I got really good at tossing each other lighters but directly into each other’s hand, no movement other than closing the palm was needed. Our lighters always had “teeth” marks and ash on the end

My take is there are good ways to open a beer with Bic, water bottle, whatever that can be smooth and clean and not damage shit. I’m completely opposed to this countertop bullshit or anything that is dangerous or makes a mess. Be smooth.

I’m speaking from personal experience, too. Most touring guys my age just don't smoke. Lots of crew guys did, though. Like chimneys. Those guys used lighters all the time.

Okay so after watching that whole video, this is what I’ve got for ya, assuming feedback is welcomed since you tagged me and all.
-general thought, twist-offs likely pop differently than pop top bottles, and there’s no need to pop a twist off, so we’re gonna need you to do that again with a twelver of actual ‘beer’. You know…. for science.
-there are planes landing in your back yard.
-I think you coulda got it with the cord. I was thinking to tie tightly around the neck beneath the cap, then put a fist on top, with the the excess wrapped tightly around your hand, then roll your hand back and it should peel the cap off. Not sure if I’m painting a picture you can see with this.
-you uh…….. bleedin a bit there bud?
-I hope somebody drank those, even if it was Budweiser, alcohol abuse is real.
-where’s that fleshlight you keep talking about, try that… haha. :boink::rofl:

Criticism is welcome although, if you are trying to diminish the fact that I opened a bottle with a chop stick, then no. I didn’t know they were twist offs until I was half way through that shit. And, twist offs are harder to lever off. You are poking me and it’s working, lol.
