Say you you’ve got a beer, but you can’t find a bottle opener. Don’t give up!
    :annoyed: :angrygirl:

What’s the best way to open a bottle without a bottle opener?? :drunk:

“Best” may be subjective, so describe the best method and any “tools” required to utilize that best method. To have your method added to the poll, upload a video that shows your best method. Caveat: that video doesn’t have to show you. :anonymous: Someone else’s video you copy from YouTube is fine. (PMH, you’re welcome to sneak back for this; there may be a lot of gloved hands to hide behind.)

Contest Rules: Each video should show only one best method… so the couple of us actually juggling work can catch up on breaks. :tinfoilhat:

If you want to submit more than one best method, post more than one short video, each showing one method.

While there’s a poll up to start, listing methods I’ve seen or done myself, if editing allows, I’ll update the poll as we go. Will that be fair? Nope. Entertaining? I hope so.

I use mostly a Bic lighter. Pocket knife will do. And when I am driving the seat belt male part works great. (Only when I drink and drive of course)

    :curls: :drunk:

Hey, Buddy, if you’ve got any free time today, can you video you opening a bottle? Show us what you’d do if you were caught out.

Only in your case… some fresh minted Bronco driver just ran back down a trail that his new push-button toy just scrambled up without his direct participation  , and he carried an extra bottle— new to off-road, doesn't know you’re not supposed to carry glass off pavement— back down to the obstacle because he wrongly assumed you can’t get up that trail in your wide-hipped monster truck, and thought it would be fun to watch you try…. BUT by they time he makes it back to a good place to watch, you break-over, and after moving a courteous distance past the obstacle, you return to spot for your buddies. So now that guy has a spare bottle of unopened beer, is civilized enough to recognize he should offer it to you …but you both realize you don’t have an opener in your pocket. The one he’s been drinking is already open, the top up in his vehicle.

Lol. I figured if I paint a realistic picture, you’ll maybe feel obligated to participate.

    :headbang:

Ok, I got to it. In my challenge for you though, there’s no bottle cap. It’s a beer you like, it’s really cold, the buddy right behind you is the one with the Jeep truck, that wheelbase without a lot of lift isn’t making it easy. It’s gonna be a while…. :boink:

'a BIC lighter' has opened roughly 99% of my beers. If anyone asks me for a bottle opener, I'll either toss 'em a BIC, I'll use my BIC to open their beer so they don't pocket my lighter. There's nothing more commonly used as a bottle opener, than a BIC lighter. Can we get a BIC on the list? (yes, it's gotta be a BIC. I've seen cheap lighters explode)
