Latest models show Flo hitting onshore near Wilmington and turning south. Down graded to a "3". Hopefully Flo hits land fast and not hang around over water. Not going to be pretty either way. Sucks....

Me and a buddy went to the ocean this morning @Avalon pier . Got some pics , ocean is a rockin, oh and got some video and pic of this crazy guy kite boarding. His buddy said he's gonna ride it to Nags Head pier about 7 miles down the beach. Pretty insane, but awesome too. Getting the outer bands of wind and rain. Be safe out there:thumbsup:
Here's a great shot, thanks to my S7 creating a pic from the video I took

I was supposed to finally be off this weekend but it looks like that won't be the case due to hire backs at work. All Swiftwater techs are being highly encouraged to come back in for the weekend. :bananadead:

Always wondered why flags are left out in bad storms; isn't the rule that flags must be taken down for inclement weather?

I always thought they were. And taken down daily unless a light to keep it visible was on it all night.

I've seen live feeds of Flo showing a flag all tattered and ripped. Seems disrespectful to me. But anyway, not looking to jack this thread since it's more about sharing updates on the storm and making sure everyone is OK.

Definitely hope everyone is doing well. Wanted to keep posted in this thread. Maybe flag goes to auction for charity. If I lived there and lived through it flag would be great memorabilia.

I don’t see it as disrespectful

I viewed as more symbolic of the American people...standing tall in the absolute face of adversity

Except it’s forecasted to drop an insane amount of rain as it meanders along in an already drenched area

They’re expecting well over 20” in some places

Getting pretty windy just not of Fayetteville, nc. Front edge hasn't really even made it here yet where I am at. Gonna be interesting. My neighbor's tundra and mine are in the middle of our yards away from everything. Gotta get them away from the trees.

Yes Steve, thank you for asking. Nothing here really. Some wind and rain. Rodanthe to Hatteras took most of the hit. Flooding mainly. Getting ready to ride out and check on my sister and some friends properties.

Damn.. my radar shows just moderate rainfall and winds of only around 50 mph so I was just thinking it could have been a lot worse.
