That's just a map of "infected" ticks, per the legend. I don't think that includes where they are or are not located.

This one not so good lol. Ok I make sure whatever I go with needs to have Tick protection too!

By the way I ordered a 4 pack of advantix ll for now. To get me through till he’s a year old. I’ll continue to do research and might try chewable or collar after this is gone. Www.chewy.com is a good website. Anyone else shop there too?

Those tick maps aren't accurate. They are saying there are no ticks in West Texas. That's where I live. We definitely have ticks. I lived on an island for 2.5 years and it was extremely bad for ticks, that's where I used the Advantix 2 and it worked great. My neighbors used the collars and they still had trouble with ticks.

Also, start your dog on heartworm preventative. Over 10 years, giving them HW preventative every month is still cheaper than treating for heartworms, plus the treatment is very hard on the dog (it can kill the dog).

i agree 100% on the tick maps not being accurate. I live in southwest missouri and we have ridiculous ticks, especially after the last few warm winters. last week i laid a print down on the ground to lay a foundation out and there was no fewer than ten ticks walking across it 5 minutes later and even with OFF spray i had a lot on my jeans. needless to say this time last summer i was pulling ticks off my dogs after every trip outside. I have never seen a product like the seresto collars. i literally have not seen a tick or flea on these animals since i put them on. when my vet suggested these i never imagined they would work like he advertised.

I use bravecto only in the summer months. Last for 3 months.

I hate using any of this stuff, especially the topicals. Had a dog that started getting seizures from frontline.

I just ordered some Simparica for my boxer boys as my vet down here doesn't have Nexgard.

Started my GSD on Nexgard. She had seizures on Nexgard. Now use Frontline. She is good on this. Nexgard has many complaints for canine seizures.

Nothing is going inside my pups body for tick treatment.. the guide dog foundation uses frontline so that's what we're going with.. my vet originally recommended nexguard for our golden years ago.. they dont anymore..

X2, my vet recommended Simparcia, so far so good. My vet also said there's supposedly a all in one flea, tick, and heartworm medication in the works.
