Created an account here just to say thank you, this was my exact problem it turns out. Had some work being done at the dealer and asked them to diagnose the dreaded dash rattle/buzz. Let the tech do his thing until he said he couldn’t narrow it down. I then handed him my phone and asked if he’d check this bolt. He comes back and says it’s was loose as could be, tightened it up and added loctite. I didn’t believe it was actually fixed until I got it on the highway driving home. At this point it feels weird NOT hearing the buzzing…

For me, the rattle was at acceleration, and between 60-65 MPH I could get it to do it consistently with my gas slightly tipped in.

Glad it helped someone!!! That rattle drove me absolutely insane for a very long time. I had another one in my steering column, more of a click, and that required a full steering column replacement. That was an expensive rattle
