Hello my name is Matt and I got my first tundra. After years of searching for a truck I kept going back to wanting a tundra I would look at a diesel or any other brand and I kept coming back to a tundra. So finally two years later and deployment money saved I found the perfect tundra to buy. I always wanted another truck but I now needed one because me and my wife both work so we needed a second vehicle. I’m sitting down just messing around on jelly blue book and found a 1794 edition tundra for 29k my first thought was holy crap this is sexy but why is it so cheap? I saw that it was a branded title so I moved on from it. Few days later I decide screw it imma look this vehicle up because it only had 48k miles and it’s being sold cheap so I send my wife to the dealership as I do my own research. The dealership told my wife the previous owner had a small fender bender and the only thing needing replacement was the front bumper witch the dealership shipped the truck back to toyota for a replacement bumper and for inspections to make it like brand new and no problems at all all inspections came out clean the car fax showed it never being in the shop runs perfectly so I decided to maybe get this truck. After alil more research a test drive or two it just ran perfectly so I said screw it this is a investment first truck let’s make this happen dropped 15k and making low payments on it. My wife loves it absolutely loves it she drives it every day no problems at all super comfortable handles amazing in the snow just drives so well. I am super excited to drive it when I finally get home and see for myself. So far the only issue with it is the damn middle console the Bluetooth and nav issue that seem to be popular with the Toyota! Other than that it is amazing and my question for you guys is what should I do with it (mods) and what color scheme should I go it’s black with chrome. A little bit about me is I hate chrome absolutely hate it but I’m excited to over time mod this truck up here is what I’m thinking for mods

    4-7 inch bds lift
    TRD Pro grill
    Cold air intake
    Exhaust
    Fixed running boards
    Gun safe middle console
    Toyo open country
    Idk what wheels
Front/rear bumper (the state I love people suck at driving)
Either camper shell or cover idk
I have more but can’t think what else but hey that’s why I’m here to listen to what you guys wanna see done to this truck and over time it’s gonna happen

I’d love to add a lot but how much is to much I noticed a tundra isn’t like a Chevy where u can add so much and it looks cool tundra is fancy and to much really shows too much but let’s see what you guys have for me also idk how to upload pics yet so once I see some replies I’ll try to upload them

Welcome from TX. I too went through the same thing while searching for a new vehicle. You made a good decision. As for accessories, man it could be an obsession because there are soo many ways to go. You will find yourself researching all these aftermarket products and what you want to add well into the night. I'm picking mine up on Oct 25 and I'm still up in the middle of the night looking at things I want or alternatives of what I want. Enjoy the new ride. Congrats and I read that you said deployment so I want to say THANK YOU!

Thanks for your service. Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the forum.

As far as mods, there is so much, prioritize and go from there. I wouldn't bother with a CAI.

My truck is Black as well and I hate chrome. I don't have the coin to do a bunch of serious mods, but here is my truck and a link to my "build" (not very built tho) page.
