$5 to $6k off is not uncommon, I’d go for it.

Picked the truck up at the halfway point which just so happens was right next to the dealer that went up in price. AND YES, we took pictures

    Here was my final deal;

    46,973 MSRP
    41,912 Sale Price
    + 250 doc fee
    + 3% Tax
    + 33.50 DMV
    - 1,750 rebate

    41,657.86 final price

Currently in a Taco... Have been looking to go bigger. So the obvious choice is the Tundra. I’ve been pounding my head with this “Want” vs “need” thing. I really don’t need it but I definitely want it. I really like the creature comforts of the Platinum and the 1794. I can tolerate the interior color of the later... so, is this a reasonable deal for the 1794. Also, I’m not worried about MPG, if I did I wouldn’t be looking to upgrade truck size. 530FFE35-5A00-43AD-81DA-1EA59592AEF3.jpg

Good price in my opinion. They are going a little less in my area.

I would offer then a few grand less, maybe offer them 45-46.

    Just my opinion.

Build up the pricing to OTD and do the same with 8-10 other dealers. Hit some out of state too. I started my search in May and finally pulled the trigger at the end of June. I had to drive 3.5 hours to meet them, but I saved $2k as compared to keeping my money local. Went to a badass brewery in the mountains after taking delivery. The local places didn’t care. Some places charge $699 doc fees which is bullshit, the place I finally dealt with had a $250 doc fee and their sale price on the truck was better than anyone else. Lots of emailing!

On an 18 they’ll move more, since 19’s are coming.

Thanks for the input... yeah I thought the Platinum price seemed pretty decent. I might need to look into my bordering states. Definitely willing to drive 3 hours to save some money, especially for $2k. Here in the Las Vegas area there are only 4 Toyota Dealers and they don’t seem to drop their prices too much. Lots of Tundras on the road out here.

I contacted 6 dealers when I shopped for my truck. 4 of them were quoting a max of 5% off. One dealer quoted 15% off and was willing to get all the extras installed before I picked up the truck (bed cover, bed liner). If I had been lazy, and not contacted every dealer in my half of the state, it would have cost me.

Remember, the dealer gets the same trucks as every other dealer. They may have different inventory from week to week, but all the trucks come out of the same factory.

I wanted the cross traffic alarm. The Tundra is a big truck and the cross traffic radar alarm is great when backing out of a parking lot. It detects cars, and even people. For me, there wasn't much of a price difference between a Tundra Limited with the Cross Traffic Alarm ( convenience package?) and a Platinum (which automatically comes with the Cross Traffic Alarm feature). I only had to give up my preference of the Cement color.

I did love the Cement color. But not a much as I loved the $5k price difference between the Cement Limited with Convenience package and the Barcelona Red Metallic Platinum.
